@BigTMSData brings together #neuroscientists to share individual participant data to ⬆️ sample size and statistical power. Our goals: To reduce interindividual variability in #NIBS response & recommend optimal and consistent methodological parameters for use. Join us (via DM)! 1/

For those at #WCBR2022 - cone stop by our session tomorrow morning! I’ll be chatting about studies of theta bust TMS for #PTSD, large N data from great collaborations with @mmadore @Stanford_PMHW and first controlled data of low intensity focused ultrasound for #depression!

I take pride in sharing that figure from my first ever & first, first authored paper ‘The BEST Toolbox’ made it to the cover of Brain Stimulation’s 2022 1st issue! Visit best-toolbox.org to setup and automate your next NIBS experiment using the BEST toolbox.

Our newest @bigtmsdata paper investigates the factors contributing to interindividual response variability to single and paired-pulse TMS. We provide specific recommendations to minimise interindividual variability in single and paired-pulse TMS data. Check it out! #TMS

Very nice work by @shansiddiqi and @foxmdphd demonstrating convergence of multiple pathologies and treatment modalities on a common depression circuit.
Shan Siddiqi @shansiddiqi.bsky.social@shansiddiqi

Out now in @NatureHumBehav @SpringerNature: TMS, DBS, and lesions converge on common causal circuits in neuropsychiatric disease. Lesions reveal better TMS/DBS targets. All 3 modalities can modulate similar circuits. Thanks @foxmdphd and 24 co-authors! rdcu.be/cnZQ1

How does repetitive magnetic stimulation induce synaptic plasticity? I am excited to watch the talk of Andreas Vlachos @VlachosLab on the 2nd International Workshop on Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation organized by @Opitz_Lab @CogNeuroEng and Axel Thielscher nibs-workshop.umn.edu
