How is that not a penalty? #ARSBUR

THAT welcome 🤩

@EBL2017 League wants em to win lol. Just turned a blind eye to Havertz

Bukayo Saka goes down in the box, but the referee waves it away. VAR are now having a look.

How to end the wrestle-mania scarring the Premier League? In all the fall-out to the (correct) VAR decision over the foul on Raya, some thought must now be given to stopping the free-for-all grappling at corners. Premier League and PGMO need to act on this embarrassment to the football it oversees. But how? More refereeing consistency would be a start. Operating a no-hands rule - as suggested by some - would be impossible. Contact will always happen in a crowded area. Darren Cann’s suggestion of no attackers in the six-yard box until the ball is played makes sense, as Cann’s suggestions invariably do. A working party of Cann, a former player and manager could easily advise PGMO on getting to grips with the grapplers.

🗣️| Martin Keown on Peter Schmeichel’s claim about West Ham’s disallowed goal: “What’s remarkable is that it’s a goalkeeper affected by this… if it had happened to him then he’d have been screaming from the rooftops that that’s a foul. If Schmeichel is still playing and he gets fouled to that degree… come on, it’s ridiculous.” “He’s angry because it’s Arsenal. Did he not play for Manchester City? Did he not play for Manchester United? The current rivals and the former rivals of Arsenal. There was no disguise to the West Ham situation. There was three fouls on him. “We’ve seen that all season, it’s been like a wrestling match. Until yesterday, they’ve stopped putting the ball in the box, Arsenal, because they’ve been wrestled to the ground so they’re now going with the short corner which shows creativity, imagination.” [@talkSPORT] #afc

🚨 JUST IN: West Ham are set to contact referees’ body PGMOL after their late equaliser against Arsenal was disallowed. The club will raise concerns and request further clarification over the controversial decision. West Ham will also ask for the audio between referee Chris Kavanagh and VAR Darren England. [@BBCMOTD] More clubs need to follow this approach if the league genuinely wants to eliminate bias and deliberate inconsistency in refereeing decisions.
