Cameron Appenzeller allowed a single to the first batter he faced with no outs in the fifth. The freshman retired the next 15 batters to close out the game. LSU didn't have a baserunner over the final four innings. Dude.

Josh Elander referenced Landon Mack's diabetes bothering him and being at 94 pitches when I asked about bringing him back out for the eighth. Elander said he did not consider pulling Arvidson in the midst of his three straight walks because he has confidence in him.
