“Think of women’s perspective when we talk of Climate Change” stated @JamwalNidhi in the #WorldEnvironmentalDay event organised by @UNICEFIndia and @BiharNyks.

A one-day seminar-cum-awareness programme on #climatechange was organized along with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan with about 500 youths from 38 districts participating. Hon’ble Minister for @DEFCCOfficial @TejYadav14, inaugurated the programme, praising UNICEF for its commendable job and encouraging everyone to plant more trees and convert ideas of environmental conservation into a reality. #WorldEnvironmentDay

Cynthia McCaffrey, @UNICEFIndiaRep, along with @noalaskinner, Regional Director a.i., @UNICEFROSA and @nbshafique, Chief Field Office, UNICEF Bihar met with Shri Amir Subhani, Chief Secretary of Bihar. Together, they discussed the state’s progressive schemes for children and UNICEF’s support in taking forward the agenda on child rights and adolescent empowerment in the state. UNICEF India’s new country programme that prioritizes development #ForEveryChild was also presented and highlighted during the meeting.

On a visit to Gaya, #Bihar with @noalaskinner, Regional Director a.i., @UNICEFROSA, we met with adolescent members of the Udaan project that empowers youth to come together to support each other and their communities in preventing issues that can have a negative impact.
