Chat, can we please have one flex for India, which is not predicated on exploitation of the poor?

We have a wedding in the family next week. In last three days I have seen a barber, stylist, spa, tailor, and dance choreographer all come home. No other place in the world offers this luxury at such a reasonable cost. This convenience covers every part of life. I last stepped into a bank maybe ten years ago - even to sign loan papers. When I buy a car, the dealer brings it to my driveway for a test drive and delivers the vehicle to my gate. For regular maintenance, a driver picks the car up and brings it back. Doctors, drivers, fitness trainers, and physiotherapists all visit the house. Chefs, party planners, and house help. Name it and there is a provider. Even the election commission recently delivered and collected SIR forms at our doorstep. Food and daily goods arrive with a phone click at little to no extra charge. In most countries, people spend their weekends running errands. The doorstep economy protects our most valuable asset: time. By outsourcing the logistics of daily life, we reclaim hours that would otherwise disappear into traffic and long lines. We gain the freedom to invest that energy back into our homes and relationships. That’s beauty of living in India.

Im at the Frankfurt Airport for a 10 hr layover. I have been traveling around for years but now it feels different. The hate for India and Indians is at peak and we subconsciously feel every one is hating on us. It's been 3 hrs now, I noticed a fellow brown colored human being who took a flight with me from Dublin. Humble clothing, unkempt face, a ragged backpack and a faded jacket. Something told me this man was poor. Most ppl were either looking at him with a judgmental look that I hate or avoiding him completely. I saw him looking at the food menu at different outlets, the cheapest I guess. My heart ached for him, he could be a hard working brother who hasn't come to terms with spending Euros yet. I have brought extra food with me. I walked up to him with my parcel of food, I asked, "Aap Dublin se aaye hain?" He smiled and answered- "Ji." Then I asked, "Kahan ja rahe hain?" "Karachi, Paxtaan!' He said, beaming. I turned around and walked back to my chair. Jaa mar!!

ISKCON claims soya beats eggs on protein. ICMR-NIN nutrition tables say otherwise The removal of eggs will reduce not only protein intake but also the intake of vitamins and minerals that plant-based alternatives cannot provide at equivalent levels. Read this informative article prepared by @sumitjha__ published in @TheSouthfirst, which has my quotes alongside that of other experts. thesouthfirst.com/health/iskcon-… More protein doesn’t always mean better protein "Dr Sudhir Kumar, a senior neurologist based in Hyderabad, explains it this way: “The statement that 100 grams of soya chunks contains much more protein than 100 grams of egg is broadly correct. However, nutrition cannot be judged by protein quantity alone. Egg protein has one of the highest digestibility and amino-acid quality scores. Soya protein is also considered a high-quality plant protein, but eggs generally score slightly higher for digestibility and amino-acid availability,” he told South First. What eggs provide that soya doesn’t "Dr Sudhir Kumar says brain development is the aspect of this debate that receives the least attention." “Eggs provide high-quality protein with excellent digestibility, along with vitamin B12, choline, vitamin D, and other nutrients important for neurodevelopment in growing children,” he says. Among them is choline, which supports the development of the hippocampus, the brain region responsible for memory, learning and spatial reasoning, and helps produce acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that carries signals between nerve cells. Eggs, particularly the yolk, are a rich source of choline. Soyabean contains significantly less.

I vote we take food from Kerala and ensure the whole country eats ONLY what people in Kerala eat. It’ll become a MUCH happier country and Toddy on Sundays can be the highlight. I’m in

Landing in Geneva, one is reminded how quick we are to romanticise “the West” and run down our own systems in India. Geneva is beautiful, efficient in many ways, no doubt. But at the airport? No lifts or elevators where you’d expect them, confusing baggage belts, barely any signage or help. A lady with crutches had to hobble down the stairs because there was no elevator! It made me think of our own airports — from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Rajabhoj International Airport, Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport and Jolly Grant Airport — where navigation, accessibility, and passenger support are so great . Such amazing service and aliveness ! We in India often complain endlessly about how bad things are at home and how “great” “abroad” is. Travel teaches the opposite too: every system has its flaws. And sometimes, back home, we are doing far better than we give ourselves credit for. 👏 @narendramodi @GOI_MoCA @MoCA_India @BJP4India

#WATCH | Kolkata | On West Bengal mid-day meal replacing egg with paneer and soybean, ISKCON Kolkata Vice President and spokesperson Radharaman Das says, "100 grams of egg contains 13 grams of protein. In contrast, 100 grams of soya chunks contains 52 to 54 grams of protein, which is significantly higher... Lentils, commonly consumed in vegetarian households, on average, contain 25 grams of protein... Paneer, which contains 22 grams of protein... I was comparing protein consumption levels across Indian states with large vegetarian populations—such as Rajasthan, where 61% of people are vegetarian, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Surprisingly, protein consumption is highest in these very states. Conversely, in Bengal and the Northeastern states, where meat consumption is common, protein intake is lower... It is truly unfortunate that such misinformation is being spread..." He also says, "There is a common perception that being Bengali is synonymous with eating fish and rice. But wasn't Chaitanya Mahaprabhu a Bengali? It is his Vaishnava tradition—he who is considered an ideal Bengali—that we follow through ISKCON. ISKCON's Founder-Acharya, Prabhupada, was also a Bengali who took ISKCON and the spirit of Krishna consciousness to the entire world. Today, there are 80 million vegetarians across the globe living very happy and contented lives..."

I was a proud andhbhakt. I was so convinced that Modiji and BJP are going to lead this country the way we all deserved and desired. I had really high hopes and blind belief. Never questioned them once in all these years. But now things look very different. RSS is corrupt, Ram Mandir Trust people are corrupt, ethnol, I don’t want to start on the CMs and other karyakartas. Ye kya hogaya hai? Why is BJP behaving like Congress? Feeling betrayed and helpless. What are we (common man) supposed to do now. Hum kaha jaaye? Aage khai peeche kua! I hope they really fix the party and regain our trust back.
