When there’s people, some WILL be poorer and others richer. When there’s a lot of people, the poor WILL outnumber the rich. When there’s a lot of poor people, the supply of labor WILL outstrip its demand. When supply outstrips demand, the stuff being demanded WILL get cheaper. You call this “exploitation” but that’s how everything works. Everywhere.
Varun Oberoi@varun_oberoi

Chat, can we please have one flex for India, which is not predicated on exploitation of the poor?

@bijnor2 @Zaheer_engineer @desertstackdev Dude, I live in Pakistan and on my way to work today, I saw 2 mandirs and a church in a country with 98% muslim population. My teacher had several versions of bible because he was an enthusiast. Where are you getting this from? No madirs, churches or bibles are discouraged here.

You are a shameless creature madam. Let me share my experience with Pakistani, I was 23 when I joined Huawei software cell in dubai, first time out of the country and figuring things out. My room was almost 10-12km away from office. I would travel via public bus service, and it was not that frequent. Because we were starting a new project the work would stretch beyond 8PM. My Pakistani lead would drop me back even when he lived opposite of were I lived he would drop me and then drive all the way back crossing the office again towards his place. And then after a while I came to know that he has a disabled child who needed more of his attention. And countless similar gestures. A lot of what I am today professionally is due to him. But assholes like you will always be there to spoil our image.

Im at the Frankfurt Airport for a 10 hr layover. I have been traveling around for years but now it feels different. The hate for India and Indians is at peak and we subconsciously feel every one is hating on us. It's been 3 hrs now, I noticed a fellow brown colored human being who took a flight with me from Dublin. Humble clothing, unkempt face, a ragged backpack and a faded jacket. Something told me this man was poor. Most ppl were either looking at him with a judgmental look that I hate or avoiding him completely. I saw him looking at the food menu at different outlets, the cheapest I guess. My heart ached for him, he could be a hard working brother who hasn't come to terms with spending Euros yet. I have brought extra food with me. I walked up to him with my parcel of food, I asked, "Aap Dublin se aaye hain?" He smiled and answered- "Ji." Then I asked, "Kahan ja rahe hain?" "Karachi, Paxtaan!' He said, beaming. I turned around and walked back to my chair. Jaa mar!!

For all those... Blind Devotees going loony on my time line in their desire to defend Iskcon's eggless meals for children.... READ.... But then Logic/Education/Science was never their strength!

ISKCON claims soya beats eggs on protein. ICMR-NIN nutrition tables say otherwise The removal of eggs will reduce not only protein intake but also the intake of vitamins and minerals that plant-based alternatives cannot provide at equivalent levels. Read this informative article prepared by @sumitjha__ published in @TheSouthfirst, which has my quotes alongside that of other experts. thesouthfirst.com/health/iskcon-… More protein doesn’t always mean better protein "Dr Sudhir Kumar, a senior neurologist based in Hyderabad, explains it this way: “The statement that 100 grams of soya chunks contains much more protein than 100 grams of egg is broadly correct. However, nutrition cannot be judged by protein quantity alone. Egg protein has one of the highest digestibility and amino-acid quality scores. Soya protein is also considered a high-quality plant protein, but eggs generally score slightly higher for digestibility and amino-acid availability,” he told South First. What eggs provide that soya doesn’t "Dr Sudhir Kumar says brain development is the aspect of this debate that receives the least attention." “Eggs provide high-quality protein with excellent digestibility, along with vitamin B12, choline, vitamin D, and other nutrients important for neurodevelopment in growing children,” he says. Among them is choline, which supports the development of the hippocampus, the brain region responsible for memory, learning and spatial reasoning, and helps produce acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that carries signals between nerve cells. Eggs, particularly the yolk, are a rich source of choline. Soyabean contains significantly less.

Dear DESPICABLE RASCIST INDIAN WOMAN, You spent an entire thread congratulating yourself for your humanity, only to reveal the very prejudice you imagine yourself above. One airport interaction became your excuse to pass civilizational judgment on millions of complete strangers. That's not empathy. That's confirmation bias inflated by self-righteousness and served with a moral halo. The most revealing part isn't the STORY, it's the arrogance. You genuinely believe your anecdote licenses sweeping conclusions about entire societies while somehow exempting yourself from the charge of bigotry. That's exactly how ethnonationalist thinking works: selective evidence, collective blame, and absolute certainty. The mirror is brutal, isn't it? The intolerance you condemn in others is staring back at you. If your worldview collapses the moment it's held to the same standards you demand of everyone else, it was never principled. It was prejudice looking for a respectable disguise. History has never been kind to people who mistake tribal arrogance for moral clarity. Thank you for proving the world RIGHT. BIGOTRY IS INDEED YOUR CALLING.

I am more than convinced that the day religion and mythology and its mention is removed from our educational curriculum and text books of schools and replaced with science, civic values, sports & character building we would lay the foundation to become a superpower.

I have a little different incident to share. During my stay in Birmingham, I often studied at a quiet café near the campus of the University of Wolverhampton. One evening, I noticed a young Indian student sitting alone, staring at his laptop with tears in his eyes. We struck up a conversation over tea, and he confessed that he was about to abandon his master’s degree because he couldn’t pay the final installment of his tuition after his father unexpectedly lost his job back home. I quietly contacted the university and settled the outstanding balance without telling him beforehand. He insisted on repaying me, but I asked for only one promise, that one day, when he was able, he would help someone else in need. A few months later, a message arrived “Today I graduated. You didn’t just save my education you restored my faith in humanity.” Compassion has never cared about nationality. It simply sees a fellow human being.

The irony is impossible to miss. The story begins by lamenting how prejudice hurts, how painful it feels to be judged solely because of one’s nationality. It invites empathy and reminds us that appearances can deceive. Yet the moment the traveler learns the stranger is Pakistani, compassion instantly turns into contempt. Without intending to, the story answers its own question, prejudice cannot be condemned when we practice it ourselves. Hatred, wherever it originates, has a way of breeding more hatred.

ANI@ANI

#WATCH | Kolkata | On West Bengal mid-day meal replacing egg with paneer and soybean, ISKCON Kolkata Vice President and spokesperson Radharaman Das says, "100 grams of egg contains 13 grams of protein. In contrast, 100 grams of soya chunks contains 52 to 54 grams of protein, which is significantly higher... Lentils, commonly consumed in vegetarian households, on average, contain 25 grams of protein... Paneer, which contains 22 grams of protein... I was comparing protein consumption levels across Indian states with large vegetarian populations—such as Rajasthan, where 61% of people are vegetarian, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Surprisingly, protein consumption is highest in these very states. Conversely, in Bengal and the Northeastern states, where meat consumption is common, protein intake is lower... It is truly unfortunate that such misinformation is being spread..." He also says, "There is a common perception that being Bengali is synonymous with eating fish and rice. But wasn't Chaitanya Mahaprabhu a Bengali? It is his Vaishnava tradition—he who is considered an ideal Bengali—that we follow through ISKCON. ISKCON's Founder-Acharya, Prabhupada, was also a Bengali who took ISKCON and the spirit of Krishna consciousness to the entire world. Today, there are 80 million vegetarians across the globe living very happy and contented lives..."

Assuming all the nonsense you posted is true it still doesn't make sense for non veg by killing animals. Despite your yrs of anti brahminism noone could dehumanize them, they walk with their head held high & beat you fairly & squarely daily. It's not their dignity but your low esteem that is the problem

Why do I feel Brahminical vegetarianism doesn’t deserve credit for animal welfare? Concept of veganism from the West.. which is now spreading across the world, is an ethical philosophy that seeks to avoid the exploitation of animals, not just the consumption of meat. Many vegans also avoid using leather bags, shoes n other animal derived products.. when I meet and talk to these ppl, i find that their empathy is not limited to animals, they are generally empathetic ppl. When I look at Brahminical vegetarianism, I mostly see it functioning as a caste identifier.. it is often associated with caste pride, much like their janeu. Questions like.. 'Are you vegetarian or non vegetarian? often serve as a gateway to identifying someone’s caste. Unlike ethical veganism.. many who identify with Brahminical vegetarianism continue to consume dairy which involves repeatedly impregnating cows so they continue producing milk, separating calves from their mothers in many systems, and ultimately slaughtering animals once they are no longer commercially productive. If the concern were truly about preventing animal exploitation, these practices would also be part of the ethical discussion. Historically.. these are the same social groups that participated in or benefited from systems that dehumanised ppl from other varnas and castes.. they also preserved and revered scriptures that contain discriminatory ideas. The rise of vegetarianism in Brahminical society is believed by many historians to have been a response to the growing influence of Buddhism n an effort to protect the Vedic tradition. So.. I don't find Brahminical vegetarianism as an expression of empathy for animals.. to me, it is tied to identity, social hierarchy and cultural continuity. #vegan #brahminism #vegetarian
