This story yday in Reuters is over a month old… I recall it being discussed down to the Pak Army units deployed…Q is why re-release it now ? Who benefits ?

Recent statement of Indian Army Chief threatening Pakistan reflects , deliberate, aggressive , hyperactive and revisionist Pakistan specific foreign policy option of his country . Contrary to Indian grand strategic misconceptions, Pakistan has no plans to undo India politically or militarily. All it aims for is just solution of historical disputes. It is time for Indian leadership to understand ; you can not wish away 5th most populous country on the planet that occupies one of the most important geo-strategic locations, is regionally and globally positively relevant, has strong armed forces and is a nuclear power. It will always give you a bloody nose when subjected to unilateralism and unprovoked aggression . Militarily, India will never be in a position to dictate in South Asia . 1.75 billion people of South Asia will have better future if Indian politico - military leadership resists traditional behavioural patterns of rising powers marked by hubris, ambitious policy options and underestimation of opponent .

The HIV scare in Pakistan is tip of the iceberg, explains former health minister Dr Zafar Mirza @zfrmrza. Everyone should watch this clip to understand what’s happening.

A Pakistani ballistic missile, believed to be from the Fateh or Shaheen series, was intercepted mid-air over Haryana during May last year before it could reach Delhi. The neutralisation was carried out by an IAF unit stationed at Sirsa, led by Air Commodore Rohit Kapil. @shivanipost #Pakistan #IAF #Haryana #India #Delhi indiatoday.in/india/story/in…

Trump thanks Global Hub of Terrorism Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Field Marshall.

While few in India may openly acknowledge it — or agree —. Operation Sindoor has arguably been the country’s biggest strategic mistake in decades. The fallout from that ill-advised misadventure has left India increasingly isolated, with no nation it can confidently count as a true friend on the global stage. At the same time, it breathed new life into the Pakistani military and government, which were both unpopular at the time and facing growing domestic discontent and protests. That four-day conflict — during which much went wrong for India — proved to be a turning point, changing the trajectory of regional geopolitics entirely. Modi’s ill-timed visit to Israel, coupled with his open support for that genocidal regime just days before the US–Israel launched a war against Iran, appears to be yet another consequential misstep, reinforcing perceptions of strategic miscalculation.

I welcome the ceasefire agreement reached overnight, which will bring a moment of relief to the region and the world. Together with our partners we must do all we can to support and sustain this ceasefire, turn it into a lasting agreement and re-open the Strait of Hormuz.
