Pakistan’s biggest crisis is not just inflation, debt, or unemployment it is the lack of economic awareness.

I am pleased to confirm that former Senator Mushtaq has been released and is now safely with Pakistan Embassy in Amman. He is in good health and high spirits. The Embassy stands ready to facilitate his return to Pakistan, in accordance with his wishes and convenience. Am pleased to extend our gratitude to all our friendly countries who actively engaged and assisted in this behalf to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

'Political will to fight' is the most important component of military deterrence. If a nation repeatedly shows the adversaries that it does not have the will to fight, no amount of capabilities can create deterrence. Hence, it is important to use military power only when the military objectives are clear, achievable & are the last resort - after all peace Initiatives have been exhausted!

Trump just threw Zelenskyy under the bus, along with NATO. Trump was hoping to end the war on 15th August, though he did say that it was unlikely. And yet, he sees hope of that happening soon. Maybe “next time in Moscow” as Putin said. The mere fact that Zelenskyy and NATO will be informed “post-facto” is proof that their views do not matter to Trump. Ukraine and its resources will be divided between US and Russia. Who gets what? That’s the point of contention. The entire “50% tariff on India” is not about India buying Russian oil. I have said this many times before. It is about Trump wanting a stronger negotiating position with Putin. Trump believes that the Russia-China collaboration is based of convenience and common threats. Once the threat dissipates, the collaboration will unravel. It is also true that in spite of the public bonhomie, Russian intelligence sees China as the primary national security threat. But India and Russia go way beyond that. There is depth in that relationship. Therefore, in Trump’s universe, to hurt India is to hurt Russia - not just economically, but also diplomatically and geopolitically. The battle ground is Ukraine but the adversaries are US and Russia. Ukraine is collateral damage…extremely unfortunate but true. This war will end. But for Ukraine, this is just the beginning.

One of the major lessons of the 4-day war between India-Pakistan is how the international media took one event and tried to turn it into THE story. A plane confirmed downed versus complete domination of India in the ability to hit Pakistan ground targets. reuters.com/business/aeros… "The J-10s shot down at least one Rafale, Reuters reported in May," Sure, evidence A plane was downed. Possible India underestimated the range of the PL-15, sure, but also possible many other technical or human errors. "Retired U.K. Air Mshl. Greg Bagwell, now a fellow at RUSI, said the episode didn’t conclusively prove the superiority of either Chinese or Western air assets but it showed the importance of having the right information and using it." "India’s chief of defense staff Gen. Anil Chauhan previously told Reuters that Delhi quickly "rectified tactics" after the initial losses." India was able to hit every ground based target they selected (9 on May 7 and then over 12 on May 9-10).
