Caitlin Clark is a talented basketball player, but her behavior during this tournament has been disappointing. We need athletes to set good examples for young people, and CC had the opportunity to be a positive role model but fell short. It’s not just her, players in all sports need to realize that young players look up to them and want to be like them.

After my 2016 laryngectomy, I suffered from insecurity, fear and doubt. I truly benefited from multidisciplinary care. Survivorship starts as soon as a patient is diagnosed.

No surprise to see that single/divorced, males are at great risk of suicide following head and neck cancer surgeries. Efforts to address the psychosocial impacts of cancer therapy are critical for this group. ☹️🧠🫂🩺 @JAMAOnc @hncalliance @AHNSinfo @DrUppaluri

As head and neck surgeons we need to do better to counsel our patients about quality of life implications following major surgery and provide psychosocial support after surgery. Interesting paper on suicide rates following major oncologic surgery.
