@HMRCgovuk I bet you’ll pursue them. You’ll find them, ask them for details of individuals in arrangements on the condition that you don’t go after them directly, then leave them alone. How many promoters have you targeted so far HMRC? Do we need to roll out the 1 FOI you responded to?

The new tax year is just days away. The National Living Wage has risen, wages are growing faster than inflation, and we’re cutting taxes for 32 million people compared to 2015-16. More families are seeing their take-home pay rise and their money go further. #ChangesForYou

The Loan Charge is not retrospective: Fact #1 The Supreme Court unanimously found the schemes were never effective 👩‍⚖️ Fact#2 The 2016 Budget gave scheme users three years to repay the loans, which are still outstanding today, or settle 💷

@DerrenJarvis @MelJStride Pretty sure he’d just ask Amazon for more money. They seem happy to line his pockets, and everyone apparently feels it’s fine to let him get away with it. They wouldn’t use Melvyn’s company if it wasn’t for the owner. But contractors are obviously the dodgy ones.

New guidance explaining why using schemes that claim to get around the 2019 loan charge by using asset transfer arrangements won’t work. Warning - if you use one of these schemes you will still have to pay the loan charge as well as penalties. gov.uk/guidance/disgu…
