Everybody is allowed to have built Britain and its capital city except the people who actually built them This is what Scruton called the “culture of repudiation” —today’s elites chase social status from other elites by repudiating their own people
George Parker@GeorgeWParker

Those commenting about London being popular with foreigners.. er, yes. A city founded by Italians, turned into a national capital by the French, which boomed under an imported German monarchy. The most open, world city on the planet - if that concerns you, you don’t get London

After the Nuremberg Trials, one of the most unsettling conclusions did not come from the courtroom, but from the psychiatrist tasked with evaluating the defendants. Dr. Douglas Kelley, the U.S. Army psychiatrist assigned to assess many of the senior Nazi officials, expected to find monsters people fundamentally different from the rest of humanity. He did not. What disturbed him most was how ordinary they were. They were not raving madmen. They were not obvious sociopaths. They were intelligent, educated, and often convinced they were simply doing their duty, following orders, or serving a higher cause. Kelley warned that this was the real danger: evil does not always look abnormal. It often presents itself as competence, obedience, and institutional loyalty. His central warning was deeply uncomfortable there are people with morally vacant or destructive tendencies everywhere. In every society. In every era. What determines the outcome is whether systems elevate those people, shield them from accountability, and normalize their behavior, and whether ordinary citizens are willing to question authority when it matters most. Modern bureaucracies and institutions are powerful precisely because they diffuse responsibility. Decisions are broken into policies, protocols, committees, and “best practices.” Harm is rarely framed as harm; it is reframed as necessity, risk management, or compliance. Individuals are encouraged not to think morally, but procedurally. This is how ordinary people become capable of extraordinary wrongdoing by outsourcing conscience to institutions and convincing themselves that accountability lies somewhere else. The lesson of Nuremberg is not that “those people were different.” It is that they were not. That is why vigilance matters. That is why blind trust in authority is dangerous. And that is why a healthy society must protect dissent, accountability, and moral courage especially when it is inconvenient. History does not repeat itself because people forget facts. It repeats itself when people convince themselves, “It could never happen here.”

Bloodthirsty Zionists will use any event to exterminate more Palestinians Emily can barely hide her delight. Within hours, she's using the murder of Jewish people in Australia as reason to commit more Israeli genocide Resisting Israeli genocide has nothing to do with this

Initial reports from the scene are that more than 50 bullets were fired at the crowd of Jewish Australians who had come to Bondi Beach for a Hanukkah event ahead of the first night of Hanukkah. This is what “Globalize the Intifada” means

Horrified by the news of a mass shooting at Bondi Beach during the first night of Chanukah. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and Jewish communities around the world who will be shaken by this antisemitic attack. In moments like these, we must remember our common humanity, reaffirm our opposition to hatred, and stand up for the rights of everyone to worship in freedom, safety and peace.

@mhdksafa Russia unilaterally declared war on and invaded Ukraine. Israel did not unilaterally declare war on and invade Gaza. Gaza (like Nazi Germany before it) got hammered and invaded because it caused the war it eventually lost. If anything Gaza should pay the Israelis reparations.

@GavinBarwell Sounds like something the Nazi's might have said to those Germans reluctant to fight for fascism in the 1940's Gavin. Just change "Keir Starmer's Britain" for "Adolf Hitler's Germany". Goebbels would have approved.

Worse, the accused are on film admitting it and laughing about it, but due to police failings this evidence couldnt be used in court. They then sued the police, and won, for being arrested. Charlene's family never received compensation. The only person to ever be convicted was Charlene's sister who punched one of them in the face. This family have been absolutely destroyed, and not a single abuser has faced any consequences, and neither have the police that let them down.

Only in the UK can a vulnerable girl be targeted, groomed, raped, murdered, and allegedly be ground up into kebab meat, And over 20 years later there's been zero justice or course correction. Charlene Downes deserved better. The UK deserves better.

@Bbmorg You don't get elected to be a billionaire Bob. And strange as it may seem you don't lose the right to express an opinion either. Assuming I'm allowed an opinion (I'm a mere pleb - not even a billionaire) I'd just like to point that EU Commission is pretty much un-elected.

@lukeakehurst Your tweet mirrors what the Nazi's might have said to those who refused to fight for fascism. The UK govt may not (yet) have reached the depths of Nazi Germany. But it is seen as corrupt, incompetent & partisan. Why would folk fight for a regime that stigmatises & vilifies them?

@MarioNawfal There was a book back in the 60's called the Population Bomb (see: bit.ly/4pMAQV6) that got this entirely wrong & arguably helped put us in the position we now are in. Today we need another book detailing how we can fix this AND what will happen if we don't.

🚨 OPINION: POPULATION COLLAPSE ISN’T COMING, IT’S ALREADY HERE (AND NOBODY IS PAYING ATTENTION) Poland's fertility rate just crashed to 1.1 children per woman… among the lowest in Europe. We're not talking about a slight decline, we're watching entire nations disappear in slow motion. The math is brutal, as you need 2.1 children per woman to maintain a population. At 1.1, Poland loses two-thirds of its people in three generations, which is not a trend, it’s civilizational collapse. Social security, Medicare, infrastructure, everything our modern world depends on was designed for growing populations, and that era is over. We're entering uncharted territory where the young are crushed by taxation or the old are abandoned, and there are no good options. This isn't about saving the planet through population reduction, for a shrinking, aging population is an environmental disaster, as massive infrastructure serves fewer people, decreases efficiency, and leads to a loss of innovation in order to solve climate challenges. And forget about cultural diversity… When Poland's villages empty, a thousand years of language, tradition, and history vanishes. Multiply that across Europe, East Asia, and the Americas, and we're not just losing people, but irreplaceable ways of understanding the world. Why did this happen? We built a society where having children became prohibitively expensive and professionally suicidal. Housing costs exploded, childcare costs a salary, women choose between career suicide and childlessness because we refuse to make both possible. Children transformed from blessings to burdens, from natural to optional. For the first time in human history, prosperous, peaceful societies are choosing extinction due to hardships, and that's not progress, that's a system failure. However, the solutions do exist: affordable housing, universal childcare, flexible work, real parental leave, tax policies that recognize raising children as a public good. Countries like Hungary and South Korea are trying, with mixed results… What's missing is urgency. Poland's 1.1 fertility rate isn't a statistic, it's an alarm. The demographic crisis doesn't announce itself with sirens, it arrives quietly, one birth not happening at a time, until suddenly there's no one left. While we debate, civilization disappears. It's time to wake up. Source: @cb_doge@elonmusk

@AfgZoroastrian Because Jews/Christians/Hindus push back against leftist dogma & frustrate their desire for unconditional power. Islamists don't. Islamist's stay dutifully silent, grooming the left as allies - while useful. Look at leftist history in Iran before & after Khomeini came to power.
