Absolutely. I know the oath is “first do no harm” but what’s the greater harm: suffering and pain in the grip of an incurable condition or the assistance to a peaceful passing? But I also believe the person requesting it would need to be compos mentis or have a legal document specifying his or her wishes to avoid potentially greedy or vindictive relatives overseeing the procedure.
