Yet today, per the Global Slavery Index, Eritrea, Mauritania, Nigeria, and Jamaica (Henry’s parental homeland) still suffer shocking levels of modern slavery. Billing today’s British taxpayers for 200-year-old sins while turning a blind eye to ongoing African and Caribbean horrors? Pure selective outrage and hypocrisy.
