@CJI_Initiative @HNCHO7 @chesscom were talking about the past 5 years.... the argument substantiated is that fabiano hasnt by any metric been better since the pandemic. Stop clining onto ancient hisotry chess has evolved

@HNCHO7 @chesscom I don't engage with people that resort to insults. It's a sign of low IQ. You claimed that Caruana "performs worse against top players" and when I provide a feat that shows that to be untrue, you shift the goal posts to the timing. That is itself idiotic.

@bimbamzee @HNCHO7 @chesscom Vishy is a 5 time World Chess Champion, Because Hikaru became better than Vishy, doesn't invalidate the accomplishments of Vishy. Vishy will be remembered in history far more than a player that never won the candidates once.

The first 3 games of the candidates have clearly shown that some people are very overrated and others underrated. Those who actively compete against top level competition obviously have a clear edge. Let's see how the chess continues to speak for itself.

@CJI_Initiative @HNCHO7 @chesscom when you have to resort to this level of nonsese you know your arguemnt is weak as shit. The only fair comparison is toruments theybe both played in. Those wold be the canidates, world cup norway chess and the american cup all mutltiple times. go ahead list their perfomrnaces

@HNCHO7 @chesscom Let's talk about Post Pandemic. 1. Grand Chess Tour wins - Fabi 2 - Hikaru 0 2. Sinquefield Cup - Fabi 1 - Hikaru 0 (Never won it) 2. US Chess Championships - Fabi 4 - 0 Hikaru 3. Tournament wins in 2024 - Fabi 3 - 0 Hikaru.

@CJI_Initiative @HNCHO7 @chesscom you are missing the point. History isnt the present. 10 years ago vishy was better than hikaru but he isnt anymore thats the differnce. Fabiano has not been bettee than hikaru sttaicially for half a decade

@HNCHO7 @chesscom Of course, you don't care. Because the truth annoys you. Performs worse against top players? The third highest rated player in history? A one time winner of the candidates who held Magnus Carlsen to a draw in a 12-game world championship. BS.

Jan Henric Buettner says Hikaru Nakamura didn't play in the FIDE Freestyle Chess World Championship 2026 because he "didn't want his market value to decrease." I thought Nakamura said it was to prepare for the Candidates.

@GMJacobAagaard 0 chance. Hikaru never loses rating when he plays tournaments. I believe the only tournament he has ever lost rating in the past 4 years is Qatar Masters where even Magnus lost 18 rating points

The problem is not the bad views.📉 The problem is that you are attempting to backstab your colleagues, just to increase your chance of finishing second at the EWC. That is not nice. And I am not scared of your mob. It is not a big mob, as everyone can see.
Hikaru Nakamura@GMHikaru

@anishgiri Nice rage bait attempt. I've never said I bring all the viewership (mentioning Levy and Magnus frequently). My comments about viewership relate to livestreaming, not long form youtube content. Failing to understand the difference shows a complete lack of understanding. Do better.

@anishgiri True. Being a featured chess streamer = instant Twitch Partner. On the other hand, the application process is weird af. 2000+ player streaming daily was not enough for them to accept me.

One of my favorite chesscom features is that when you visit their website from a browser on your PC, you automatically get to become a viewer of a streamer that is featured on the so called ChessTV!🍿 Meanwhile, for everything chess prep, there is my ChessMonitor.com.

@anishgiri The 🤡 Carlsen made the same predictions last time - Fabi or Hikaru as favorites. And Alireza as a strong third choice. Problem is, he is going by paper ratings and performances on Titled Tuesday. That’s not how things work in the Candidates. You are a top contender.

@Gyan49485 @BelaBaitok the last US champs he played …. & won. If he were to qualify for the match he’d undoubtedly be the favourite. He is simply better than gukesh in every format right now & has been the most consistent performer since his return after the pandemic

@BelaBaitok Gibraltar tournaments and the 1st one were Opens (and hence not 2700+ rated). None of Hikaru's 5 US Championships came in 2700+ strong tournaments (he has actually stopped playing in last few years when it is 2700+). One of the Zurich events you mentioned was a Rapid and Blitz.

Considering only FIDE events and 2700+ rated classical and mixed events. Hikaru has won 1 Grand Prix leg on tie breaks, lost another leg on tie breaks - won that overall series, 1 Tata Steel, 1 Norway Chess. Won mixed format events like 1 GCT finale and 1 American Cup. 1/2
