Bizarre batting tactics from @RCBTweets Showing no intent at all to go for the win and instead trying to protect their top 2 spot. 7 wickets left, asking rate 20+ , captain playing run a ball knock. Such tactics do not suit the current IPL champions, will likely derail them

Krishna Rao is the CFO of Anthropic, and this is his first podcast appearance. He joined the company two years ago when run-rate revenue was about $250M. Today it is $30B. He has helped raise ~$75B and is responsible for the procurement and allocation of compute. I feel lucky we get to hear what it is like to sit inside a company this consequential at a moment this pivotal. We discuss: - The cone of uncertainty - How he allocates compute across Trainium, TPUs, and GPUs - What investors misunderstand about model companies - Why the returns to frontier intelligence keep rising - Platform vs application and where Anthropic builds its own products - How Anthropic uses Claude internally I have asked my closing question about the kindest thing more than 500 times. Krishna's answer is one I have never heard before. Enjoy! MI had SKY, Bumrah, Hardik and Tilak coming off a draining WC winning campaign at home where they played big roles. No surprise they look exhausted. Most regulars are: Arshdeep, Varun, Shivam, Axar too. Only Abhishek, Ishan and Samson seem to have carried some form.
Harsha Bhogle@bhogleharsha

I must confess I didn't see a team, as studded with stars as #MumbaiIndians is, come apart like this. The only possible indicator could have been that, Bumrah apart, the others hadn't had an outstanding T20WC. But nobody could have predicted this. I had thought aloud about a hypothesis on my YT channel that reputation is becoming a burden in modern T20 cricket as a possible reason. I don't know if all the forces within were aligned but that could be another. And the experiment with Hardik Pandya as captain is now 3 years old and it has delivered a play-off only once so maybe something isn't working there. But I bet nobody saw #MI not making the play-offs.

A well deserved slap on the wrist for @RishabhPant17 for the shocking un-sportsman behaviour. Deserved to lose worse than how it ended, but a loss in super over will also do. @LucknowIPL deserve the wooden spoon just for that idiotic appeal vs Raghuvanshi.

Extremely poor sportsmanship from @RishabhPant17 and the @LucknowIPL team on that Raghuvanshi run out appeal. Complete clown show. Not one adult in that LSG 11 or dugout to give the right advice to withdraw that shocking appeal Utterly shameful Rishabh Pant.

Sunday IPL games before sparse crowds should worry @BCCI and @IPL. Chennai and Lucknow have been brutally hot in April but I don’t recall Chepauk or Ekana looking this empty even during May heat. Lucknow today is embarrassing, not even 50% full. @LucknowIPL @ChennaiIPL

Singapore's Foreign Minister published the architecture for his "second brain for a diplomat" yesterday. Architecture diagrams, design rationale, the works. A developer-style writeup of his own system. It runs on a Raspberry Pi. It connects to his WhatsApp and Gmail, transcribes voice notes locally, ingests speeches and articles, and builds up a knowledge graph over time. It answers questions, drafts speeches, condenses information. He says he doesn't dare switch it off. What @VivianBala built is one-of-one. There's no other setup like it. But what he built it from isn't. He composed four open-source pieces: - @NanoClaw_AI , the agent framework: github.com/qwibitai/nanoc… - Mnemon, the persistent memory layer: github.com/mnemon-dev/mne… - OneCLI, the credential proxy that keeps API keys out of the containers: github.com/onecli/onecli - The LLM Wiki pattern by Andrej Karpathy, the synthesis approach: x.com/karpathy/statu… None of them are his. The composition is his. And then he published the composition: gist.github.com/VivianBalakris… He didn't keep it internal as Singapore's edge. He didn't spin it into a product. He didn't gatekeep. He wrote it up and put it on GitHub. There are tens of thousands of doctors, lawyers, researchers, investors, and operators building one-of-one setups for themselves right now. Some simpler than Vivian's, some more elaborate. The impulse will be to sit on it. Treat it as your edge. Think about what product or company you could spin out of it. Resist that impulse. Vivian put it directly: "The diplomat who learns to work with AI will have a meaningful edge. I think that edge is now." The specific thing Vivian composed will be obsolete in months. His real edge isn't the system. It's his ability to build it. Being plugged in, up to speed, able to cut through the noise and connect the right pieces into something that brings real value. Sharing the blueprint doesn't give that away. It amplifies it. You become a beacon. Other people working on the same things find you. They share what they're building, suggest improvements, point at things you didn't know existed. You learn faster. You stay in the center of where things are happening. Publishing isn't giving away your edge. It's doubling down on it.
Zac@Zac_Pundi

Singapore’s AI obsession just hit Everest peak. The Foreign Minister is self-hosting Claude on a Raspberry Pi and building a diplomatic knowledge graph using Karpathy’s LLM Wiki pattern. Wahlao! SG devs, the minister is coming for your job. And he’s not even using Cursor — he’s on NanoClaw running locally. Can someone git pull his code and give it a test. Only bad thing? He dropped this on Facebook instead of X. Minister, we need to talk. gist.github.com/VivianBalakris…

Watching @ShreyasIyer15 perform that acrobatic fielding to assist in taking the “team catch “ made me appreciate how fielding has evolved since my retirement. For a long time, I felt like the “father of fielding”, but watching these modern athletes with their timing and awareness on the boundary line, makes me feel like the “grandfather of fielding”! I spent 99% of my career fielding in the inner circle, and when I started working as a fielding coach, there was no focus on the modern day “hotspots” on the boundaries. It was only when I started working with @mipaltan and saw Kieron Pollard, and then Glenn Maxwell, performing these incredible “airborne saves” on the boundaries that we started focusing on not only taking catches off balls that were already beyond the rope, but even saving the ball from going for a sixer, and forcing the batters to run only 1 or 2. With impact players transforming the way that batters can continuously attack the bowling, even with the loss of 4-5 wickets, bowlers need to be backed up by their fielders, and Shreyas’ spectacular“catch and release” was a perfect example of that. But let’s face it; when your head coach is @RickyPonting, one of the greatest fielders in the game, it should not come as a great surprise to see such incredible feats in the field!

Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals, home game for GT at Modi Stadium. Not even 50% full for a weekend game. Broadcast pictures full of empty seats across stands. Ticket prices are more reasonable than Kotla - start from 1000, yet muted response from Ahmedabad public

Nearly 30% seats in stands at Kotla are empty on a Saturday. @DelhiCapitals are keeping fans away due to exorbitant ticket prices. West Stand Upper Floor tickets at INR 4500! Hill B tickets at 9450. The cheapest tickets are 2300 and 2800. Insane.

Mumbai and Kolkata have hosted Test matches repeatedly over the past 15–20 years within the same rotation system. If Guwahati is being questioned for getting a Test too soon, the same standard should apply to them as well. Test cricket needs to reach newer centres
Kushan Sarkar@kushansarkar

One query which @BCCI mandarins can answer. I understand the rotation system. So Nagpur (last Test in 2023), Ranchi (last Test 2024), Ahmedabad (last Test 2023) and Chennai (last Test 2024) got BGT Tests. How in the world did Guwahati (Nov, 2025 vs SA) once again came in Test rotation ambit so fast? Did Eden or Mumbai refuse Test matches and wanted White Ball Games? If that's the case then fair enough. #IndiaCricket #CRICKET
