#SeydinaCheikh Parmi les #prodigesduShaykh : Le Shaykh Sīdī Hāj ‘Alī Tamāsīnī رضي الله عنه avait un serviteur esclave nommé Saʿīd, qui était éprouvé par la consommation d’un vin fabriqué à partir de dattes. Le Shaykh l’avait interdit de nombreuses fois, mais il ne cessait pas. Il l’envoya alors chez certains de ses proches et amis intimes dans la région de Sūf. Ceux-ci lui dirent : « Le mieux serait de le vendre, puisqu’il est dans cet état. » Il leur répondit aussitôt en disant : « Mon serviteur connaît la Fātiḥa, la Ṣalāt al-Fātiḥ li-mā ughliqa et la Jawharat al-Kamāl. Il s’appelle Saʿīd ; sa valeur n’est pas comparable à celle du monde entier et de tout ce qu’il renferme. » Puis la sollicitude divine atteignit Saʿīd : Allah accepta son repentir, un repentir sincère. Il se jura de ne jamais revenir à ce qu’il faisait auparavant tant qu’il serait en vie. On le ramena alors auprès de son maître, et le Shaykh — que Dieu l’agrée — organisa un repas en signe de joie et de gratitude, heureux du repentir de ce serviteur et de son retour vers Allah.

A TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED BROTHER ABDURRAHMAN ALKALI – A LIFE OF SERVICE, SACRIFICE, AND COMPASSION It is with a heart full of sorrow, yet deep gratitude, that I write this tribute to my beloved elder brother—more than a sibling, he was a mentor, a protector, and above all, a servant of humanity. For over two decades, he served as a healthcare professional with unmatched dedication, humility, and compassion. He committed his life to the well-being of others, working tirelessly in hospitals across Gusau Local Government and its surrounding communities. He was not just a medical professional—he was a lifeline to many. Day after day, he would leave home as early as 7:00 am and often return long after the sun had set, sometimes as late as 11:00 pm. He did it not for praise or reward, but because he believed in the sanctity of human life and the duty to care for those in need. Wherever he was posted, his absence was always felt deeply when he was transferred. Community leaders and district heads would petition for his return—an evidence to the impact he had on their lives and the trust he had earned. He healed the sick, comforted the grieving, and brought hope to the hopeless. He treated patients not just with medicine, but with dignity, kindness, and empathy. To many, he wasn’t just a health worker—he was family. His loss is immeasurable, not only to us, his family, but to the countless individuals and families who were touched by his service. Yet, even in this moment of deep pain, we are comforted by the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of selflessness, faith, and humanity. He has run his race with honor. His life was a beautiful example of what it means to live for others. May Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings, accept his service as an act of worship, and grant him the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. May He reward him abundantly for every life he saved, every prayer he whispered for a patient, and every long night he spent in the service of others. And may Allah grant us, his family, the strength to carry forward his legacy of compassion and service. You are forever in our hearts, dearest brother. Thank you for everything.
