@TobiOdukoyaFilm So sorry you have to experience this. The healthcare system in Nigeria has become something of high concern. Health is everything, and this why my team built a system to contribute significantly to the experience of Nigerians, @mycyberclinics, telemedicine platform for all.

I went to this hospital at Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja Lagos I wanted to see the gynecologist. I paid for registration, 23,766 Paid for consultation, 119,000 Paid for tests close to 350k (it was about three hundred and forty something) Minus my T.fare o Now after close to a month, my results are ready. Oya o, tell me what the tests says. NO, I HAVE TO PAY 64,000 FIRST before the gynecologist can interpret what my tests says. I almost lost it with them! They said it's the policy. And frankly i don't have 64k to pay for tests interpretation. I told them to send the results to my mail. I'm so heartbroken and disappointed.

@TobiOdukoyaFilm I’m sorry you got such inhuman treatment from a place that should prioritize healthcare before any other thing. This is a reason we must as a matter of “must” transition into technology driven healthcare. Imagine consulting with a qualified doctor from the comfort of your home.

@JesseKellyDC That’s the point. In your little mind @JesseKellyDC you think because he’s from Nigeria, you’re well informed about contemporary issues than he is? This just shows how little educated you are

You’re from Nigeria. Why on earth would you think I value your opinion on immigration?
Abastrump@Hopesundaysam

@JesseKellyDC Completely shutting down immigration could hurt the economy and innovation more than it helps; managing it smartly works far better than closing the country.

A B2B SaaS founder in Lagos called me one Monday morning. I was eating eba. He said, "Stephen, one of my clients just opened their dashboard and is seeing another company's employee salaries." I told him to repeat himself 😂 He repeated himself. I dropped my eba on the table immediately. Wait... Before you continue, do me a favor. Retweet and bookmark this thread so others can learn from it too.

I want a challenge. To everyone learning right now: Create a GitHub repo and follow this structure to build an authentication system. It’s a 3-day challenge. And please, if you know you’re going to vibe-code it, don’t bother joining. You’re not helping yourself. Indicate if you’re in for the challenge. Everyday you’ll come to quote the message and drop an update : E.g 1) Today implemented throttling… 2) implemented password hashing …. Like that pattern
Akintola Steve@Akintola_steve

This is a complete auth system as a thread. One of the most practical things you’ll read on the streets of X. From registration → login → MFA → tokens → OAuth → security layers — broken down the way real systems actually work in production. If you’re building anything serious, you need this. This isn’t a “read once” thread. This is the one you keep coming back to. Study it. Save it. Use it. If it gives you value, bookmark it, repost it, and come back when you’re building. Let’s get into it 👇

Bookmark this tweet right now. Not after reading. Now. At some point, you will build a payment system, work on one, or inherit one that is already broken. When something goes wrong, and it will, you will need exactly what I am about to show you. This is the most complete payment system breakdown I have ever written. Every flow. Every edge case. Every trap. One thread

Wunmi is buying a ₦45,000 generator on your platform. Network is slow. She clicks "Pay." Nothing happens. She clicks again. And again. Three requests hit your server simultaneously. If you have no idempotency, Wunmi gets charged ₦135,000. She calls her bank. Files a dispute. You lose ₦135k PLUS a chargeback fee. The fix is one concept: every payment request carries a unique key. If you've seen that key before, return the same response. Don't charge again. Ever. One key. One charge. Always.

do you understand what just happened to one of the most used npm packages on the internet? → axios gets downloaded over 100 million times a week and today it got compromised → an attacker hijacked the npm credentials of a lead axios maintainer… changed the account email to an anonymous ProtonMail address… and manually published two poisoned versions → axios@1.14.1 and axios@0.30.4… neither version contains a single line of malicious code inside axios itself. instead they inject a fake dependency called plain-crypto-js that drops a remote access trojan on your machine → the fake dependency was staged 18 hours in advance… three separate payloads were pre-built for macOS, Windows, and Linux… both release branches were hit within 39 minutes. every trace was designed to self-destruct after execution too → there’s no tag in the axios GitHub repo for 1.14.1. it was published outside the normal release process entirely... bypassed CI/CD completely → StepSecurity called it one of the most operationally sophisticated supply chain attacks ever against a top 10 npm package → a routine npm install silently opens a backdoor… no warning… no suspicious code visible in axios itself this is the wake up call all vibe coding bros need to hear right now: → if you installed either version… assume your system is compromised → pin to axios@1.14.0 or axios@0.30.3 → rotate all secrets, API keys, SSH keys, and credentials on affected machines → check network logs for C2 connections → add –ignore-scripts to CI npm installs going forward 100 million weekly downloads and one compromised maintainer account… that’s all it took to wreak absolute havoc and I imagine we see a whole lot more of these… crazy times ahead for cybersecurity and vibe coding be safe out there y’all
Feross@feross

🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages. The latest axios@1.14.1 now pulls in plain-crypto-js@4.2.1, a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise. This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now. Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that: • Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime • Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis • Executes decoded shell commands • Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories • Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.

Guys. Please get your PVC. If your PVC is lost/damaged, you can also apply to get it back. If you’ve moved locations, please also apply for a transfer of your polling unit to your new location. You can do it ALL online by yourself with your computer at cvr.inecnigeria.org. The entire process has a deadline of FRIDAY this week last I heard. Please.

Stop writing your child as Next of Kin and thinking you’ve secured their future Let’s fix this misunderstanding once and for all. Writing someone as next of kin does NOT make them the owner of your property. Not your house. Not your land. Not your money. It doesn’t matter if it is your child, your spouse, or the person you love the most. In law, next of kin simply means: “Who should we call?” That’s it. Not who should inherit. Not who owns your assets. Just who gets notified. Now here’s where it gets serious A lot of families have lost access to money because of this mistake. Someone passes on. The family walks into the bank confidently: “But my name is his next of kin.” The bank replies: “We’re sorry. Bring court authority.” Because in law, next of kin is NOT a beneficiary. Without: Probate (where there is a Will) Letters of Administration (where there is no Will) Or a valid directive like a POD (Payable on De@th) Nobody is touching that money. Not even the “next of kin.” Let me say this clearly so it sinks in: Next of kin = Contact person Heir = Legal beneficiary They are NOT the same. If you truly love your family, don’t leave them with confusion and court stress. Do the right thing: Write a Will Back it up with a Deed of Gift Fill a Payable on Death (POD) form in your bank Put your intentions in clear, legal writing Because the law does not respect assumptions. It respects documentation. Stop confusing identity with entitlement. Next of kin is who to call not who to inherit. ©️Confidence Aribibia
