BREAKING: Health Canada has indefinitely paused its proposed policy update on foods from cloned cattle and swine. After significant pushback from consumers and industry, Ottawa is stepping back to “allow more time for discussion.” For now, any cloned-animal food products must still go through the full novel food assessment — and none are approved for sale in Canada.
