Ironically, Reddit helped train this behavior because millions of users started adding “reddit” to searches for authentic human answers. Google even expanded AI summaries to quote Reddit discussions directly. But once Google’s AI can extract the “best parts” of Reddit conversations into the answer layer itself, referral traffic can compress hard. This matters because a huge amount of Reddit’s growth narrative came from: Google indexing Reddit aggressively Anonymous users landing on Reddit from search Those users converting into logged in users and ad impressions Even Reddit management already acknowledged in prior quarters that Google algorithm changes materially impacted traffic and stock performance. The market is probably realizing today: “Wait… if Google’s AI becomes the destination, Reddit may lose some of its distribution oat.”

No matter the revenue growth I’m never again buying businesses with bad unit economics and low margins. The name of the game going forward is massive cash flows and earnings growth with little capex and monopolistic network effects. $RDDT is a 1 of 1 pure breed stallion.
