@iamhyperfixate Thank you. It’s been nine years now so I highly doubt I’ll relapse. You’re kind for sharing these word of encouragement.

@iamhyperfixate @xaviersonline_ I did it to dissociate from my horrible home life. It was a bad coping mechanism bc I was so emotionally dysregulated. I always hid it, but one day at school, the proof peaked out from my long sleeves and a teacher finally saw it. My parents saw before that and didn't care.

In 1928, a Finnish man named Eino Kettunen wrote a folk song about a girl who sneaks out to dance all night. Decades later in 1995, a quartet named Loituma recorded an a cappella version of the track. It was largely forgotten by the mainstream. Then in 2006, an anonymous user took a tiny vocal loop from that recording and uploaded it to a Russian blogging website. They paired the audio with a simple flash animation of the character Orihime Inoue from the anime Bleach endlessly spinning a leek. The viral explosion was so intense that it forced the disbanded folk quartet to reunite. A 1928 acoustic folk song accidentally became a massive club hit and ringtone sensation, dominating European music charts nearly eighty years after it was written.

@Slight_Histor @jaspwork exactly. quality over quantity. and if a show's story can be told in just 9 episodes, then I'd rather that happen than unnecessarily drawing it out to spread it thin for views/money/etc. imo, the fact it is short means they can put all their effort and love into this project.

@MDerp69 @SwoleWorld what are you doing? do you want them to wake up to the bullshit or not? better late than never imo. it's better they realize they fucked up and come to their senses than to stay delusional. i'm glad they are realizing because we need to come together to stop this.

Ladies, tell me your most unhinged way that you practice microfeminism in your life. I'm not talking about "assuming the doctor is a woman", give me insane ones thanks!

Something that breaks my heart as a Millennial is how fucking optimistic and fun our teenage years and 20s were. Like we envisioned a TOTALLY different world from the one that we've got and insanely divorced from what Gen-Z are experiencing. It's hard to put in words how fantastic we thought life was gonna be and how it seemed like we were making tangible social progress. We've had all of that ripped away from us

@Nikki_Bea_ @Tiny69fr0g just tell them you're there for them. but it can get to a point where venting is benefiting neither party and they may need to go to therapy if all emotional support is on the listener ... how to approach that situation and be honest without hurting them? honestly I don't know.

@AccountMinipry ugh I'm rewatching this series for the first time as an adult and my heart hurts for this boy. There are so many things now that I watch that I'm like "yep, that's going to need therapy later". Poor kid 😢
