Today was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through. My sweet Boxer crossed over the rainbow today and it was extremely hard and emotional. I adopted him at 8 weeks old and we’ve shared so many memories together over the last 7 years. He wasn’t just a pet, he was my best friend that also helped get me through some really tough times in my life. Currently I just feel empty. Part of me wonders why this happened, the other part makes me wonder if he thinks he failed me. I just don’t understand an of it. They say that dogs pass before humans because they couldn’t go through the pain of losing their owner, but honestly the pain from losing my bestfriend is just as hard. I’m going to be taking some personal days because I deserve that. This was really hard for me but I’ll be back soon. Keep on trenchin’.
