What people dont know about Green smite
Green smite was massively buffed this season without being put anywhere on patch notes or in dev blogs
Blue and red smite have overshadowed Green smite for a long time now after it was nerfed a couple years ago but surprisingly Green smite has the highest win rate on a lot of champs after the buffs.
Not only was green smite buffed but blue smite which was historically the strongest was also nerfed this season.
Green smite is biased towards lots of tanky junglers however I actually think you get more value on champions that are squishy like assassins or champions that build some but not a ton of hp. the reason for this is esentially youre getting a full items worth of EHP without having to build into an HP item. Allowing assassins to have the HP of a bruiser at 2 items but the damage of an assassin.
Green smite post buffs is giving you anywhere from 500-800 gold value of EHP that refreshes every 10 seconds or when you kill a camp which is insane value.
Whereas on tanks that would usually build it of course youre still getting value however its not super valuable as 300 extra hp on an already 4000 hp target is very unlikely to actually change the outcome of a skirmish or teamfight. So only on champions that dont benefit well from blue or red should you take green on a tank.
