It appears the ARTEMIS jet (N488CR) is being sold after 6+ years of contractor-owned, contractor-operated SIGINT missions for the U.S. Army. The sale details 1,224 flights totalling 9,533 hours, and a “mission-configured interior with equipment racks and operator provisions.”

I received some stunning photos of the U.S. Army’s AISR primary HADES testbed N488CR at Hamilton Municipal Airport from a follower of mine. Visible is a brand new dorsal hump and additional antennas under the belly.

It's also in the graphic, but again, it's just a very approximate representation of the sensors' range based on the line of sight from that altitude (ignoring terrain/mountains and sensor limitations, for example) BRIO68 // N159L // #A0EC98 h/t @marko_rogge and @blackswanadria

The ARTEMIS II jet orbited above Georgia today, likely focusing its sensors south to Armenia and/or possibly northern Iran. A rare flight, as the contractor-owned and operated SIGINT bizjet flying for the U.S. Army usually orbits above Eastern Europe and off the coast of Libya.

As airborne threats grow faster and more complex, Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) is a critical capability for the @RCAF_ARC. We’ve partnered with @Bombardier on Canada’s AEW&C program, modifying the Global 6500 jets with AERIS X™ for military operations. These modifications will occur at our MAS facility in Quebec, and will enable operators to connect sensors, aircraft and commanders in real time. Learn more: spklr.io/6010EzcCm
