@cnni Still not enough. The last few years Thailand has become a magnet from all sort of trash (of all colours, not only white) from all over the world. We Thais have been too nice for too long. The country needs to rely as little as possible on tourism, especially cheap tourism.

Threats near Stepnogorsk In the West Zaporizhia direction, the situation in the coastal zone of the former Kakhovka reservoir continues to deteriorate. According to objective control footage, Ukrainian forces are moving relatively freely into Stepnogorsk, indicating that Russian positions west of the town have been lost. In the Lukyanovsk area, the AFU occupied part of a defensive line that had been contested for a long time. In Pavlivka, only scattered Russian presence remains and is under serious threat. The abundance of open terrain and Ukrainian superiority in drones create major difficulties for Russian units. The enemy is also attacking toward Stipove and Shcherbaky. A breakthrough to the outskirts of Kamianske would mean losing territories gained in heavy fighting in early 2025. The enemy continues systematically striking Russian logistics, including gas stations and roads in the southern direction. Old defensive lines from several years ago are proving ineffective under current drone conditions. The situation is considerably more dangerous than during the 2023 offensive near Robotyne, as the AFU now has much better capabilities to isolate the rear.

@jacobrodri_ Opinions are just that.. opinions.. what makes "strong expat scene" a city stand out? For me that means an Asian city filled it up with Americans , primarily older white males. So a place to avoid.

bangkok might be the best capital city in the world: - cheap rent - modern infrastructure - strong expat + digital nomad scene - ultra safe - low taxes - elite nightlife - paradise islands just 1 hour away two weeks here and other big cities start to feel like a scam

Russia and Belarus have started joint military exercises on the combat use of nuclear weapons on May 19 through May 21. 64,000 troops will participate in the exercises. Russia's Strategic Missile Forces, the Northern and Pacific Fleets, long-range aviation, and some forces from the Leningrad and Central Military Districts are involved. According to Russia, the exercises involve more than 200 missile launchers, over 140 aircraft, 73 surface ships, and 13 submarines.
