@THEOttoJohnson Admittedly I’m spoiled by the Ralph as a UND fan, but I was in Mariucci for the first time this winter and was shocked by how dated it was. The trophy case in the lobby was dirty and full of dead flies—looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Is the pride in the program gone?

I'm in Duluth on a Friday night and I thought, why not walk down to the arena and watch some college hockey, so went up to the ticket booth and asked for a single ticket and the woman laughed and looked at me like I was the biggest idiot ever, the guy who just fell off the potato truck and hit his head, and said, "There are no tickets left, the Hawks are in town!" and yeah, what was I thinking. The Hawks are in town...

@MarcPDumont When Grand Forks hosted the #WorldJuniors in 2005, they were selling out the Ralph to the tune of 12,000+ people. An example of the perfect setting for this tournament in the U.S.—hockey obsessed town, close to the Canadian fan base, limited competing events, etc.
