This week the NDP voted against our motion to protect Albertans’ right to defend their homes and families.
The NDP may not like it, but I will never apologize for standing up for Albertans.
@KikiLGordon@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith So how were those crime stats? Did I ever once say it will happen? Or that she could? Nope I first commented on you saying you will never get a gun yadda yadda…. Acting like no one needs them
@bk2577@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith I have looked it up and I’ve also done my due diligence on this matter, but here’s a little video I found for you to explain to you that Danielle Smith does not have the authority to change federal law within Alberta! You can look it all up to see that it’s 100% correct!
@fasterhorses676@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith No he never deserved it asshole. But he should have things locked up ya moron! You must be one of those guys who leaves his truck running with the keys in it while he goes into the store. Then it gets stolen and you can’t figure out why! Tell me you’re not that stupid!
@KikiLGordon@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith Hasn’t happened yet and hope it never does. A number of times neighbours and my place has lost stuff due to theft luckily no one was home. It only takes once doesn’t it? Did you look up the stats for home invasions in Canada?
@bk2577@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith I can think about it all day, but it’s never happened before! Tell me Kelvin, has this ever happened to you before where a meth’d out person ever attacked you in your home before or are they just coming after your property?
@KikiLGordon@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith Go look up stats of the increase in home invasions and the gap between rural and urban then think about that. Think about how awful it would be having a home invasion in your home knowing police are 30min or better away. Sorry but I value my and my families lives more than you.
@bk2577@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith I do live in an urban area currently, but have lived on an acreage more than 30 minutes from police and didn’t need a gun!
@KikiLGordon@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith (Slow clap) good for you. You didn’t need one until you do. When some methed out person enters your home with a weapon and threatens you and your family you just going to invite them for tea?
@TheEndTheEras@wowcosa@ABDanielleSmith Sure you do to an extent. If you do now you are automatically guilty and need to prove that you did not use excessive force. The other way around it is the crown that must prove you did. Pretty shitty to need to go to court to prove your innocence after someone breaks in…
@KikiLGordon@LammersFairy@ABDanielleSmith That’s your choice to not have one then correct? Do you live in an urban area? Do you own livestock? Can police be there in under 30min?
@bk2577@Jill1Sweden Right you pay the town etc, then the money gets taxed and the feds give the treaties their cut for the land they are renting out to you. You don't think it's rented, then stop paying property tax and see what happens. Your own beloved town will kick you out on your Albertan butt.
Im so sick of Alberta. Constantly complaining. If you want separation you go. But the oil doesn't belong to you. When are you going to realize that. Again your in Indigenous land. You will be America's bitch. Leave your Canadian passport at the door. Your on your own.
@Jill1Sweden Alberta isn't going anywhere..they just took a tool from the Quebec separation playbook to get what they feel they deserve . It worked ! True tho that 100% of Alberta is ALL indigenous land, and they would never be able to separate anyways.
@atRachelGilmore Just curious did you also worry when the federal government prorogued govt but passed measures to take legally obtained private property from lawful owners or make them all criminals? Not saying UCP is right just that other parties have done questionable as well…
What the Alberta government just did should worry all Canadians.
When they legislated striking teachers back to work, they went a step further:
They used the notwithstanding clause.
This is part of a worrying trend that could erode all of our rights:
@avinagoodtime Just curious did you get mad at the libs for still passing things when government was prorogued? You passing things that takes legally obtained private property from vetted individuals and turned them into criminals overnight?
@LauraSnoxa74741@PierrePoilievre So seeing as how the guns are still in the owners hands we don’t need to spend the millions and take them away the right? You just gave facts that show gun violence is on a decrease and nothing has changed yet….
The Liberals promised this boondoggle of a program 5 years ago and now have extended the ‘amnesty’ for the 3rd time.
Now gun crime is up 130% under the Liberals because they chose to attack lawful hunters and sport shooters instead of locking up gangsters and gun smugglers.
Sign to end the Liberal gun-grab and go after the real criminals instead: conservative.ca/cpc/stopthegun…
I'm trying to be sympathetic to rural Albertans who are experiencing ER closures and poor healthcare service, but it's hard when you vote for the same exact party every election that continues to make your life harder.
Oh well enjoy your new license plate.
@Bob_Stauffer@EdmontonOilers Taking Philp out is insane. You sit Henrique.
This isn’t hard to figure out.
There’s no way you play Henrique over Philp ever.
For all you guys that hate taxes and think you’d be better off without them by paying your own way, heres a “partial” list of what our municipal, provincial and federal taxes pay for.
RCMP, Border security, cybersecurity, postal services, EI, vaccine research, mental health
@grubel23@BradLafortune It’s funny my oilfield rate sheet has the same rates from 2012 and in fact some have had to go down as costs go up so my increase would be a negative number…. Life’s rough for guaranteed raises….
