Uganda / Rwenzori Marathon Meets Manchester city Love for Rwenzori Marathon👇 This morning, over 42,000 runners took part in the Manchester Marathon one of Europe’s largest and flattest races, often favored by runners chasing personal best times. In an inspiring twist, Ugandans are steadily embracing the spirit of marketing our country on the global stage. A good friend of mine, Bonny, CEO of @LikanaSafaris, reached out early this morning requesting Rwenzori Marathon promotional materials, including QR codes. Since then, he has been passionately spreading the word about the marathon and Uganda’s rich tourism offerings among fellow runners and spectators. During our conversation, he shared that he chose to become a self-made ambassador of the marathon in Manchester reflecting the same energy and dedication that leaders like @wekesa_amos embody in promoting Uganda wherever they go. From my perspective, the next edition of the @RwenzoriMarathn should actively participate in global events like this, God willing, with support from the @UGHighCommLDN Commission in London. Such collaborations could amplify Uganda’s visibility even further. It’s also worth noting that the United Kingdom remains one of Uganda’s largest tourism source markets in Europe making platforms like the Manchester Marathon incredibly valuable for destination marketing.
