Chinese students cracked frontier AI pricing wide open. 🤯 They buy GPT-5.5 and Claude access for 97 percent less than list price on Taobao proxies. One dollar buys 100 million tokens a day of nonstop vibecoding. Proxy stations purchase bulk enterprise accounts upfront. They route every request through their servers and resell it dirt cheap. The catch is obvious. Every prompt and codebase gets logged. This is not random savings. It is systematic data arbitrage feeding straight into Chinese labs. Western pricing created the gap. Talent there now scales without limits while we pay premium for the same models. The underground economy just rewrote the rules of AI adoption.

Vercel released a new programming language today called Zero, built for AI agents from the ground up. I tried it out for fun, and it looks and feels a lot like Rust. Some noticeable things: 👉 No LLVM backend, so fast (but not as optimised) 👉 Borrow checker, but basic (not as advanced as Rust) 👉 A lil buggy right now (doesn't compile on arm macbooks) A lot of good parts too, like json mode.
