The Court of Appeal has directed the Bank of Ghana to reinstate GN Bank’s operating licence, overturning a previous High Court decision that had upheld the revocation.
The three-judge panel also ordered that all of the assets of the bank be returned to their original owners and instructed the Receiver to transfer management back to the former leadership of the bank.
This ruling represents a significant development in the legal dispute between GN Bank and the Bank of Ghana over the banking sector cleanup initiated in 2018.
