@guitargirrl They have a wrong approach to chess. To get better you analyze every game (win or loss), every tricky position, missed opportunities, blunders (both yours and your opponents), etc. The beauty of chess is not the result of the game, but the lesson you learn in every move you make.

As a chess coach, I prayed my 6 year old student would lose today. Before you judge me……😭 He was getting absolutely crushed in game 1. I mean dismantled. It was painful to watch. But then his opponent made one terrible blunder and somehow, miraculously, he won. I was proud of him for hanging in there. I told him so. But I also told him that was a lucky game and we needed to work on playing better chess. He looked at me and said “I don’t need good chess. I’m lucky.” I told him luck runs out. Good chess doesn’t. You can practice good chess, build it, own it. You can’t practice luck. He disagreed. Completely unbothered. 😂 Game 2. Same story. Terrible position, getting crushed, and then his opponent blundered again. He won again. He walked back to me and said “SEE. I told you.” I had no words. 😭 At this point I’m actively rooting against my own student. I needed game 3 to do what game 1 and 2 refused to do. Game 3. Same bad chess. Except this time his opponent didn’t blunder. Nobody saved him. He lost. He came back to me. Quiet this time. “Okay. Teach me good chess.” And just like that, the most humbling coaching moment of my week ended with a 6 year old finally making sense. 😂 Have you ever had to let someone fail to teach them something? Tell me I’m not alone…..

In my AI design playbook, I mentioned how important it is for the user to be aware of the AI's confidence in the result it provides. I did just that in the @pewbeam_ai design: when you hover over the confidence indicator (the yellow dot, which could be green or red), a tooltip shows the exact confidence level to help you make quick decisions when operating manually.
