@ausstockchick Like Pauline Hanson you support dumping hundreds of thousands of Australians into unemployment and into poverty on Jobseeker? Creating massive govt Welfare and Social Services Depts. All filled with tens of thousands of public servants? This is correct? Yes or No? #auspol

The government’s public service has blown out by $19.6 billion over the next four years. So the number of bureaucrats will continue to rise next year. We are paying for people to have meetings about meetings after their tenth coffee/ dart break. #auspol

@JourneyMacro @ausstockchick Seriously looking at gaining NZ tax residency status and moving interest over the ditch. The next company won’t be Australian based, unfortunately.

Has the new tax rules changed your investing strategy? I’m pivoting for sure. There is no way I’m using the same rules when the game has been flipped. #auspol

I’ve been holding a large international tech stock for a decade. It’s split and bagged multiple times and now my holding is substantial. I’m now considering if I need to sell to trigger the current tax liability and then rebuy. I’ll be hit with a substantial tax bill + brokerage + FX fees and the net result is that I will have a lower capital base to build wealth for retirement. All these changes do is tell me that I should buy a Porsche, go on holidays and upgrade my house instead of sacrificing and provisioning for my future. Retrospective tax policy drastically changes my views of sovereign risk in Australia and my investments will be allocated accordingly.

A stock I had 30 bagged. I didn’t lock in the gains because I knew I was close to a 50% discount from CGT. Now Albo wants to take more of a chunk of my gains whilst criminals rort the NDIS system with no repercussions. Life isn’t fair so sucking it up and pivoting investment strategies so grubs can’t take more of my money to waste. #ausbiz

The coalition calling for a halving of the fuel excise is welcome news. We look forward to working with them to achieve One Nation's policy of a full removal of the excise with compensation for truckies and dealing with the GST on fuel. After 3 months, let's review how that's going but Australians need relief now. We also need to have an emergency declared under the Liquid Fuel Emergency Act 1984 so that we can force Big Oil to put supplies into the regions and stop the price gouging.

"Canada has free healthcare" Wait times ... Surgery : 284 days or longer Kill you : no wait I guess they did the financial math and it is cheaper to offer to kill their citizens. So they prioritized that. Then they made it easier for 3rd world migrants to come and replace them. This is the end result of socialism.

New data shows annual wages have now grown above 3% for 14 quarters in a row. This is the longest streak of growth above 3% in over a decade and a half. We’ve made a lot of progress together on the economy but the job’s not done because inflation is too high and people are still under pressure. That's why inflation, productivity and global uncertainty will be big focuses of the budget. #auspol #ausecon
