@RepJeffries Said the desparate out of touch talentless hack pure politician who's never produced an ounce of wealth in his life. He has destroyed a lot of wealth though. Trump has never been convicted of any legitimate charge despite the many bullshit accusations. Democrats are losing it.

Donald Trump is a feeble, unhinged conspiracy-peddling 80-year old failed President. The economy is a disaster under this guy and the American people know it. Pathetic.

This is not a skit! Why are you qualified to be a Senator? Democrat contender to replace Graham Platner for U.S. Senate: “Oh, I ran for office several times. I didn’t win, but I did run. Then I’m a songwriter, and I write my own books… and I suppose the biggest thing is I’m just an angry citizen now, and if I got elected, I’d be an angry senator.”

@Schizo_Marxist This shitpost is brought to you by imbicile industries. Where everything is free at the price of your soul. No credible reading of history anywhere supports socialism. It always leads to totalitarianism. It's morally bankrupt. Just like your post.

Socialism has increased GDP/Capita, promoted fairer justice and employment opportunities everywhere it's been implemented. Communism doesn't even sound good in theory: a totalitarian dictatorship that makes everyone equal by making them all poor. #socialismnotcommunism

@Alice_MiaX The stock market hasn't been overly volatile. Trump has done what he said he would do. No president is going to save the world. It simply can't happen. But at least Trump acts. I don't agree with everything he does (tariffs, interest rates) but the choice was disaster or Trump.

I regret voting for Trump. I thought his second term would bring a more relaxed, confident, level-headed, business-minded version of him. He surrounded himself with a strong cabinet, had Elon Musk on his side, and it genuinely felt like we were going to get something different. Instead, we’ve gotten what feels like an erratic, aggressive, and unpredictable presidency. I’m not saying I would have voted for the Democrats. I just think we needed someone else. This has been one of the slowest summers I’ve seen for businesses. I’m still out here every day talking to restaurant owners, bar owners, salespeople, and other business owners. The same thing keeps coming up: sales are down. People aren’t eating out as much, drinking as much, or spending like they used to. Hours are getting cut, and prices are still too high. The stock market has been incredibly volatile, and the constant headlines and market swings don’t inspire confidence. Meanwhile, it feels like the people closest to him keep getting richer while everyone else is left dealing with the uncertainty. I honestly believed we were going to get something better. Instead, I feel like a lot of us were sold a version of Trump that never showed up.

A former Team USA figure skater stopped for coffee. Prosecutors say a career criminal turned that routine drive-thru into a nightmare. Gabrielle "Sam" Linehan, 28, was sitting in a Starbucks drive-thru in St. Louis when police say Keith Lamon Brown approached her vehicle, demanded she raise her hands, then $h0t her before stealing her bank cards and driver's license. Investigators say Brown had a decades-long criminal history and was already wanted in connection with other armed robberies. He now faces charges including first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Linehan wasn't just an accomplished skater—she was a beloved coach who inspired countless young athletes. A family lost a daughter. A skating community lost a mentor. All over a senseless act of violence. Our thoughts are with everyone who knew and loved Sam.

Pharma loves hyping risk numbers because they sound dramatic. The game is percent of percent, and extremely misleading. It's marketing. Finance and economics use basis points for absolute clarity. It's relative vs. absolute. Why the difference? One sector needs precision for decisions, the other wants to mislead. Example: Imagine a new cholesterol drug. Baseline heart attack risk over 5 years: 2%. With drugs: 1%. Pharma headline: 🔥“50% reduction in heart attacks!” Reality (absolute): Just 1 percentage point improvement (or 100 basis points). For every 100 people treated, you perhaps prevent 1 heart attack. The other 99 get the side effects, cost, and hassle for zero benefit. In finance, if yields move from 4% to 5%, we say "100 basis points." No one says “a 25% increase in yields!"  to hype it. During the COVID period, we kept hearing “90-95% effective!” for the mRNA vaccines.  Amazing! Nearly everyone was misled on purpose. Here’s the reality: Pfizer (BNT162b2):  Relative Risk Reduction: ~95%; Absolute Risk Reduction: 0.84% (or 84 basis points). Number Needed to Vaccinate (NNV) to prevent one symptomatic case: 119. The rest, many of whom at near-zero risk of medically significant disease, now risk injury and death thanks to the jab. Then of course even the RRR kept falling and falling due to inevitable mutations. Contrast with finance: If interest rates drop from 5.00% to 4.16%, we don’t say “17% lower!” We say “lower by 84 basis points.” Why do these conventions persist? Because in finance and economics, real-world decision making is at issue in real-time markets. With the pharma scam, it's just marketing and the perpetuation of fraud, and results don't actually matter. By the way, I had no idea that pharma studies were so packed with with such misleading nonsense. It was the Covid period that showed me. Why hasn’t the fields of finance and economics corrected these people? Because academia is so siloed and everyone minds his own business. The Vaccine Was “95% Effective” How? brownstone.org/articles/vacci… via @brownstoneinst

So true. Socialist never look at how the rich became rich. If they did, they would see the rich brought tremendous value to a tremendous number of people. They traded products and services for money. It was win/win for both sides. The Socialist doesn't care. I think Socialism is now a scam. History shows it doesn't work. So, anyone promoting Socialism is conning the people. History matters, reality matters.
Rock Chartrand@RockChartrand

The socialist regards society much as a child regards supper: he notices with great precision who received the largest slice, while remaining curiously uninterested in who rose at dawn to bake the thing. Socialists always imagine themselves at the table, never in the kitchen.

@JackPosobiec Standard time means in the winter you go to work in the dark and go home in the dark. DST at least gives you some light after work. And the summer time light allows for some family time outsider after dinner. Glad to see this happen.

Today, I sued the Heritage Foundation, Stephen Miller, a Columbia affiliate, and others under the KKK Act. I will not stop fighting until everyone who willingly contributed to my missing the birth of my son—and 104 days of my life—answers for it. More actions will come soon. But this lawsuit is about far more than what was done to me. It is about a coordinated, ongoing plot to punish, silence, and intimidate everyone who dares to dissent and speak out for Palestinian liberation. We will hold them accountable.

Trump doesn't want them to be enemies, they just listen to their idiotic teachers and the dialed back news. That's the chaos.
