Opportunities don't present themselves like this often. Massive, world changing technology that the general public is scared to use. That's a massive gap you need to exploit
This is the time you adopt all of these tools. Even though it's early. Even though there are risks. You do it anyway.
You be careful and you do what so few are willing to do: have some personal responsibility. But you NEED to strike.
When the 99% are scared to do something, you have to do it. You have to take the risk. That's when the greatest opportunity is.
In 2 years 100% of the world will be using AI agents, and this opportunity will be dead.
No more playing around. Stop doom scrolling and start tinkering with tech that will change your life.

@AlexFinn I literally just put my new Mac Studio M3 Ultra to work. I migrated OpenClaw over from my old MacBook Pro M1. What next?!? I’m chomping at the bit to put this beast to work. I’ve got 256GB of RAM aching to get to work! Cmon Alex…..what do I need to do?!?

For those unaware of how this works:
With Karpathy’s autoresearch project your GPU stays up all night running experiments on itself
Playing around with an open weights model
Implements experiments that improves the model
Throws away experiments that hurt the model
Continuously self improving AI. In your home. On your desk.
Maybe the biggest release in the last several years
It is so painfully obvious where this world is going
Those with their own hardware will have all the power. Self improving super intelligence
Those with no hardware will rent whatever the corporate labs decide to lease to them at the moment

I packaged up the "autoresearch" project into a new self-contained minimal repo if people would like to play over the weekend. It's basically nanochat LLM training core stripped down to a single-GPU, one file version of ~630 lines of code, then: - the human iterates on the prompt (.md) - the AI agent iterates on the training code (.py) The goal is to engineer your agents to make the fastest research progress indefinitely and without any of your own involvement. In the image, every dot is a complete LLM training run that lasts exactly 5 minutes. The agent works in an autonomous loop on a git feature branch and accumulates git commits to the training script as it finds better settings (of lower validation loss by the end) of the neural network architecture, the optimizer, all the hyperparameters, etc. You can imagine comparing the research progress of different prompts, different agents, etc. github.com/karpathy/autor… Part code, part sci-fi, and a pinch of psychosis :)

Im building something world changing
I'm building the first OpenClaw AI agent company. Doing work for me 24/7
Right now 4 employees are in office (local models on 3 Mac Studios and DGX Spark) and 2 are outsourced (Opus 4.6 and Codex 5.3)
The 4 local employees (Qwen 3.5 (x3) and Minimax2.5), my developers and researchers) work for me 24/7. They do not eat, they do not sleep, they do not complain, they do not require insurance, they do not sue me.
All they cost me was an up front life time $24,000 contract (3 Mac Studios w/ 512gb memory and 4tb SSD. 1 loaned by Apple, and the DGX Spark)
Not bad compared to the human candidates I interviewed that would have cost me $100,000 a year
Henry, my Chief Strategy Officer outsourced from Anthropic, manages all of them. He's lucky. He doesn't have to work so hard with the local employees doing most of the heavy lifting.
My senior developer from OpenAI is rather cheap, altho outsourced as well. While Anthropic is discouraging me from outsourcing their employee, OpenAI is encouraging it
While I sleep tonight, they will be working. While I watch the Celtics dominate the NBA, they will be working.
They will be scrolling X and Reddit, finding challenges to solve, and building software. Without any oversight at all.
