@WarHenRecords Bandcamp isn't the industry savior everyone thinks it is. They're the same as nearly ever other DSP, just in different clothing. Maybe with the new owners it will be different, but they're taking in considerable monies and then throw artists a tiny bone every once in a while

@blckmsrcrds That’s probably the best descriptor. I appreciate the sentiment but the experience doesn’t deliver as profoundly as it once did.

@beaujennings I only came back to post my thread this morning. I thought I would need a replacement for twitter, so I joined threads and mastadon, but I've come to find out over the last however long it's been that I just don't miss anything about short-form social text.

@WarHenRecords Oh totally. It's become the internet's Record Store Day, which is also desultory.

@blckmsrcrds This may be sacrilege to post publicly but BC Friday does not hold the same weight it used did when it first started. In my experience at least, both as a seller and a buyer. Over saturation maybe, I dunno. It’s also a quiet year for WH by design so maybe that’s it.

@WarHenRecords valid. I sort of do the same on Fridays. Since there is already a lot of attention on BC, I will go and generate a dozen or so YUM codes and give them away here.

@blckmsrcrds People don’t really buy the stuff anyway sadly so why not give an incentive? I also don’t have anything new to offer this month and I want to get rid of this stuff so might as well offer a kickdown.
