I recommended a friend for a job in my company. The interview went well and COS was sent to him, but unfortunately he couldn't secure the job because he couldn't pass his IELTS. He did it 3x and gave up. I could only imagine how he feels now hearing about the new rules.

@anyachostan You should send your passport and money order as soon as you've done the application. It would take a while to change. As long as you send the passport and money order, including the return envelope to the embassy. It will take a while for the enrollment status & all to change.

📍Please I need help to understand this. I have applied for passport renewal, paid and did self biometric enrolment but it the time line waits PENDING BIOMETRIC ENROLMENT. The. The other page says AWAITING APPROVAL. I am a bit lost here. Also, at what point should I send my passport and the money order? Thank you.

Marriage is not supposed to be a “his bills, her bills” arrangement. Especially abroad. Once you marry, both of you should stop thinking like flatmates doing cost sharing and start thinking like a family building one future. The real conversation is not 50/50, 70/30, or “leave rent for him.” It should be... what is our total income? What are our total needs? What is our budget? What are we saving? What are we investing? A healthy home is not built on divided responsibility. A healthy home is built on shared vision. When couples keep saying “this one is for him” and “this one is for her,” they may survive, but they rarely build wealth as one unit. Learn now or learn the hard way. You are both healing in different directions.

When I came to the UK newly, our water bill was updated(raised) cus then you have 2 people in the house. I wasn't really working, was just doing part time job while preparing for my OSCE so I wasn't contributing to the bills and my husband didn't mind but immediately I got my Nursing job, I took up some direct debits. It doesn't have to be 50/50 at home just help out the little you can. Even if it's the least internet(wifi) bill or water bill or even gas and electricity. Leave the house rent and council tax and all that for him.

My timeline is flooded with splitting of bills as partners. I won't use the word split because it causes hierarchy, but rather uses support. Before going into a marriage, a kind partner should be your priority. No kind partner will watch you struggle and not support.

According to multiple reports and videos circulating online, today is said to be the day of this festival in the Ozoro community, and girls are wvrned not to go outside. It is alleged that any girl seen outside could be att@ck£d and r@p£d by groups of men. Foreigners who are unaware of this situation have reportedly fallen v!ctim as well. There is Delta state university in Ozoro, and many female students may not be fully aware of the d@nger. It is distvrbing that something like this could be tolerated in society. This is heartbreaking, and urgent action needs to be taken.

Someone I knew passed a few days ago & his death reminds me again of how fragile life is 😢. A medical doctor, His family is ok, He wasn't sick, No trace of any health issues, He was young & Workout often. Not everyone that passed on, died because of shifts in this country.
