Alexander The Great is crazily overrated.
His resume consisted of beating up local flyweight champs in his division.
His biggest win was against a minor Indian fighter in the 80-elephant weight class.
Then his scouts told him he'd next face the real Indian heavyweight champ with 1000+ elephants, and he ducked harder than Floyd Mayweather.
And further east, he would have faced the even stronger Qin champion who had a 10-times bigger army equipped with far superior weapons.
Good thing that his army revolted and prevented him from humiliation.
They saved his entire legacy.
