Here are some real facts: Mississippi State spent a ton of money on the current roster. The lack of success this year isn't because Starkville is perceived as a terrible place or that State lacked funds. They missed in the portal after losing most of the roster from last season.

Someone made sure to get this narrative around to all the college basketball writers the last few weeks. One bad season and it’s one of the worst jobs in the SEC and Power 4. Four of the last five head coaches have gone to the NCAA Tournament and recruited top 25 signing classes routinely. Repeating narratives is lazy.

I mean really all the NCAA has to do is say “This is our rules you abide by them.”If you don’t follow our rules then team is ineligible for postseason and possibly suspended from NCAA. Join another league if you don’t like our rules. You knew the rules when you became a member.

They need to do this in all college sports. That’s all they do is get an injunction and the player gets to play. Don’t let them play in any games or you are out of playoffs, tournaments or championships. I believe Miami had a player this year playing on an injunction

The NCAA should tell Alabama if they play Charles Bediako, the team will be excluded from the NCAA Tournament if the temporary legal injunction is later overturned. Seems pretty simple.

@MAISfanGuy @sjjuay I believe you’re correct. I remember reading on the MAIS website that they usually take 2 votes before something is approved. I like this latest update; especially for keeping 4A and putting the big 4 in 1 division. I believe that will give the other teams a fighting chance.

@CoachToddCooley Do you have a coach that recruits the Jackson/Brandon area? I did not see a coach from Delta State at any of the games this year. Even at the MAIS all star game. Just wondering. Some good players you should have been recruiting.

We thought it was a pretty solid and fair fix with enrollment gap and competition issues. It gets the big four by its self in 4A Division I and creates a fair 4A Division II. It creates more competition in 3A to justify a Division I & II Championship. 2A & 1A go to one champion.
