@TheRedGoner I personally believe at least one of the major mysteries is setup for Toby’s next game. It’s reasonable to assume at least some of the stuff we’ve seen is this game’s version of the goners or sans in Undertale. My personal bet is that it’s friend, but I don’t have any evidence.

UNDERTALE is a game where quite famously there were a lot of unanswered questions and unexplored topics like we're still waiting to figure out one of the final bosses

undertale takes if it released in chapters: dude why haven't we found out anything about the king's son or the previous fallen humans yet. We're already in hotland. There's no way toby fox sticks the landing here

@goldensflowers That being said, there is a lot to love about chapter 5, flowery is one of the best characters in deltarune and the gameplay was amazing. I’m still very excited for chapter 6 and I am way more excited for the WR than I was before. I have faith in Toby.

@goldensflowers My main problem with chapter 5 is how it feels like it kind of ignores chapter 4. I think have chapter 4 and 5s dark worlds swapped would’ve worked much better. The momentum that was built up in chapter 4 just kinda fell flat in chapter 5 which was a little disappointing.

@wandydoodles My personal theory is that sans had been “universe hopping” for a long time but somehow got trapped in Undertale after leaving Deltarune. I also think Toby will use this to have sans as an Easter egg NPC in future games he makes

Honestly, it’s already starting to grow on me. Not my favorite chapter, but it was a good time.

So I just finished chapter 5. I don’t know how to feel. I dont think I liked it very much. I guess I’ll see how I feel after a couple playthrough…

@snail_inactive I’ll admit the chapter was really fun, but I am mostly disappointed by the story only because a lot of the momentum chapter 4 built up just felt a little… lost? Like it’s a good chapter but compared to chapter 4 it was really disappointing.
