I remember Toly saying Solana doesn't need an L2 because it's already fast and cheap. I think he was right. But as we've built Nur, we've realized the opportunity isn't making Solana faster, it's making it dollar-native. The biggest friction is that the entire ecosystem still revolves around a volatile asset for gas and liquidity. For payments, merchants, AI agents, and mainstream users, that's a completely different challenge. We're getting very close to bringing the first USDC-native Layer 2 to the Solana ecosystem. A network where users, apps, merchants, and AI agents can interact using USDC as the native asset while Solana remains the settlement layer. The vision is becoming reality.
