@blockapunk @LaCryptCompte2X @rodarmor Nodes broadcast and proliferate transactions peer to peer. The miners construct the blocks, usually from this mempool, and compete to have them mined. Policy consensus is implemented at both levels. But you could say miners are the last line of "defense" or something.

@LaCryptCompte2X @rodarmor Fair enough. My other name was Bitcoin Adversaries. The idea is simply that everybody should design their version of Bitcoin, policies, etc. and may the best one win. That's literally how Bitcoin works, but I mean at a client level we could make BIP modularity a main feature.

@LaCryptCompte2X @rodarmor The forking mechanism should be built in, inherent, and the core client should have handling for different forks. You could essentially spin up micro-forks in an instant (if your ruleset creates different block headers) and use them as testnets.

@rodarmor Why do we have centralised gatekeepers, when we already have nodes and miners as checks and balances? We should really be pushing the bounds on what is acceptable, not letting some greasy Epstein designer baby guy stamp something as unacceptable. May the best fork win.

@rodarmor This whole saga got me thinking, there should be an adversarial Bitcoin Client. One where you can simply turn on/off BIP's easily with a toggle, test new code, track and forecast forks (diverging block hash), manage, revert, and choose your fork lane. We call it Bitcoin Forks.
