Side by side - V4 quoting and multi route search with and without poolscout.dev on @base Not only is it 2.5x faster, but you don't have to worry about RPC rate limits or brute forcing from known hook addresses.

I really like the design of Uniswaps new continous clearing auctions so thought I would give some thoughts on how to play these. The combination of the immutability of bids through the lifetime of the auction + a uniform clearing price per block means that the game theoretic dominant strategy is to bid your fair price at block 1 - exactly what the auction is hoping to achieve. This assumes everyone has the same information (usually not true). Yes, you can still overpay if you want, but since your bid is locked in for the entirety of the auction, you either take all the allocation (assuming nobody else overpays and you are able to take the full auction allocation) or the auction doesn't graduate. The ability to push the price up early in the auction then dump on other users is completely removed. Since we know that most crypto users aren't rational actors though it will be interesting to see how these dynamics play out on extremely over-subscribed auctions. I imagine we see massively inflated prices in the first few over subscribed auctions, but fairly quickly people will learn that they aren't just going to print by over bidding massively.

Token distributions often happen behind closed doors, creating information gaps and privileging a few players We think there's a better way Today, we're launching the Continuous Clearing Auction Protocol

Whenever I see blowups like xUSD I'm always reminded that often in DeFi over-diversification is a massive killer. Better to be involved in a handful of transparent protocols you have a deep understanding of than many opaque ones you don't.

The Jetson ONE personal air vehicle costs $128K. You can fly it without a pilot license after a quick 5-day training course. Needs an $8,000 deposit. comes with backup batteries, a ballistic parachute, and radar that handles auto-landing.

A big piece you're missing is those generations feeling like the world is inflating away from them. Ofc you would be doom posting and hoping for a collapse if it meant you had more of an opportunity to acquire assets. Millennials and Gen Z also care less about job security than older generations. So what if you get made redundant if you can get a great entry on crypto, stocks and real estate.

I love this take because it explains the root cause of so much hatred built up by Millenials and Gen Z to see markets collapse. Problem is they ignore the fact Burry was one of the most brilliant in the world to make the bet he did, and it stemmed from a lotta hard work to uncover the opportunity to short the market. Truth is most should be long. Period. Those calling for a 1929-style crash are not Michael Burry, they just want to emulate a character idolized in a movie.
Nathaniel Whittemore@nlw

An entire generation watched The Big Short, thought Michael Burry was cool, and spent the next decade calling everything a bubble.

I've experienced significant reductions in "brain fog", improvements in concentration and a massive increase in my ability to synthesize information from ~8 months of increased reading. Probably one of the best hacks I've had for improving my quality of life this year.
Mustafa@oprydai

read more books. not because it’s productive. not because it’s aesthetic. but because it rewires your brain. every good book upgrades your mental firmware. you start seeing patterns others miss. you start connecting disciplines. you start thinking. books are the ultimate leverage. cheap to get. infinite in return. read more books; that’s how you actually get smart.

I'm not saying we get another liquidation wick like we just had, but nothing stopping more of a bleed / weeks of down only. If there is more negative news or contagion from this event we could see large unwinds, further pushing things down. Just not worth it in my mind to be deploying right now, especially after this recovery from the bottom of the wick.

Reminders for the weekend - MMs often widen over the weekend - MMs will widen with this massive increase in vol (some may even just exit the books entirely) - low liquidity leads to even more vol No clue where this is going, but for now I'm sitting out. Don't try be a hero. Just because we had a massive V shaped bounce, the market was already showing signs of being over extended. Personally waiting to see if / how much blood we get on Mon open before making any moves. One of the biggest lessons I learned over the last few cycles is if things really are turning, bidding the first big drawdown is never a good move. Bid when people are in true despair.

One of my biggest lessons from 2022 is that it takes some time for all the bankruptcies to reveal themselves after a big liquidation flush like this. Big trading shops are running around trying to figure out what their exposure to insolvent counterparties is and that takes time.

A lot of good lending yields after this flush. If you can be confident that protocols are solvent and collateral is fine (stablecoins are still fully backed), easily 20-40% vanilla lending opportunities in helping to bring utilization rates back down.

The key part is your airdrop alignment - so you just need to have above average airdrop alignment allo to get the aridrop, not above average from the total allo earned. You can see on your portfolio page 67% of the allo earned is currently for ICO, 33% for airdrop. So if more than 33% of your allo is associated with airdrop tasks, you get the airdrop as you are above the protocol avg. Less than 33% you will be getting the ICO. Either way your allo will earn you the ICO or airdrop - you just cant have both from one account.

Pretty disappointed if this is the case and no comms was released. If they are willing to just cut allo, how do we know the team won't just decide to zero out allo from specific actions in the future.

Uhh did @USDai_Official retroactively reduce allo on their "no alignment" markets. In the last 12 hours my allo on lending via Euler has decreased by over 17%... I know they were reducing the allo from 10x to 3x, but to retroactively reduce allo is misleading. cc @x256xx
