I feel very sad for the protestors in Iran who lost their lives. Nearly 100,000 innocent people slaughtered this year in Iran by the Iranian regime and IRGC.

Here is what I think happened on the Iran misadventure: 1) the proponents of regime change hoped and prayed that murdering the Ayatollah and IRGC leadership would result in a domestic uprising. But they’re pretty smart - and knew this was at best 50/50; 2) they thought that once the USA was knee deep in this business - they could drive Trump into a full blown war to effect ‘regime change.’ Boots on the ground. And they thought the American population would puppy-dog after them. This was deeply cynical - they thought they could manipulate public opinion into a war of choice, slow-walk them into something that no one wanted; 3) the American people are totally fatigued with Middle East nonsense - they want nothing to do with sandbox feuds over there. The war proponents underestimated the extent of opposition - and really don’t even care what people think, because they are monomaniacal about this; 4) no effort to sell this ‘war’ was even made. That actually shows that someone in the administration was using his brain, because it wasn’t a sale you could close. But that also meant that you couldn’t maintain this for long. The Bush administration sold us the Iraq war for the better part of a year - with lies and misinformation - but they at least thought public opinion mattered. The Trump administration made no effort, probably because they knew it was impossible; 5) for whatever reason Trump decided to proceed with a war that could only succeed if it was over in a couple weeks. It was a mistake, as was withdrawing from the Obama treaty - even if that wasn’t a good treaty. Because if you cannot gain American public opinion for a war, you cannot sustain it for long. And that means you cannot win the war if your enemy is prepared to hunker down and take punishment and wait you out; 6) I think all of this was predictable. You cannot engage in colonial style warfare, as though the USA were the sole superpower, if you cannot generate domestic support. That is the point people in the Trump administration should have known - and almost certainly did know, but rolled the dice anyway; 7) the upshot IMO is that the USA should only project power in its own hemisphere, and even that modestly. It should seek to reform domestically to be a stable republic - and not try so hard to force everyone into its mould. There is a lot to like about the USA - and making this place better, and showing it to the world, is better diplomacy than killing people in sneak attacks.

I hate to break it to you - but the United States is an absolute, incoherent shitshow. The idea that we have ‘representative government’ is ridiculous. If that were true we would not have wasted billions killing Iranians for no reason at all. Some people wanted this - but the voters who elected this government did not. Let’s go further. When Trump goes to China - he brings our ‘great billionaires’ with him. I can’t think of any more obvious symbol that we live in an oligarchy that does everything it can to manipulate outcomes - and that voting is a bit of a joke. It’s like he’s bringing with him ‘the ruling elite.’ Because that is what he did. We have at least 40 million illegal aliens living here. Our business ‘leaders’ engineered this by bribing politicians to keep the border open - because they wanted to pay low wages and make mucho $$ for themselves. When people objected because their incomes were falling - the business leaders accused them of racism and funded Barack Obama to become POTUS. The USA is $40 trillion in debt - and no one has a plan to solve that problem. Absolutely no one. This will blow up one day - and it will destroy normal people who save in dollars - because the unspoken plan is to destroy the currency and save the rich and destroy the rest. But people who own our homes - like Blackstone or Blackrock - won’t care because their assets will follow inflation. Everyone else will be reduced to paupers renting from them - their bank accounts gone. The United States today is hopelessly dysfunctional. It lacks a coherent population that can even agree on anything. It is bankrupt - but the rest of the world is propping it up because they are also scared of what happens when the dollar collapses. It doesn’t have any smart leaders - and we have to watch insiders doing oil trades to make $$ on the Iran war - and the administration itself sells shit coins. Our foreign policy is a total joke - not strategic in any way at all. It is driven by special interests, and then not even followed through. And people are actuality making money on it - pump and dump coming straight from the White House. This is a hell of a way to celebrate 250 Years! At least we can have a cage match on the White House lawn that degrades our entire history and underscores just how bad and ridiculous things are! Thank you for your attention to this matter! Enjoy the circus! If you’re lucky you will be dead when the music stops!

In 1980 Ronald Reagan convincingly won the presidency against Jimmy Carter, and also tipped the Senate. But the democrats maintained control of the House and Tip O’Neill remained speaker. That meant a lot of people voted for Reagan, but then voted democratic down ballot. They could do this knowing bipartisanship was possible - that the country had a coherent population, and differences were not so wide that people would refuse to work together. Reagan was able to push his tax reduction plan through Congress. Tip O’Neill basically said ‘this is what the people voted for, so we will work with you.’ That could not happen today. The US electorate is balkanizing because of too much immigration too fast - which is exploited by unscrupulous politicians. We will probably not see the kind of bipartisanship of the early 1980s again in our lifetimes - if ever. And this is why a 1924 style moratorium on immigration is necessary, coupled with aggressive assimilation policies and deportations of those who don’t really want to be American. And it’s why birthright citizenship is a disaster in present circumstances.

The predicament Trump is in, and has been since he started the Iran War with Netanyahu, illustrates why it was so stupid and destructive to start this war in the first place. From the start, there were only two real options: 1) Take seriously all the stated war aims and try to fulfill them, which would require a protracted, self-destructive, devastating, years-long war of the kind Trump spent a decade vowing to avoid, or, 2) End the war quickly and prematurely, and then have to scurry around to find some way to claim that the US "won", which would -- at a minimum -- force Trump to credibly claim he got more than Obama's JCPOA gave, thus justifying all the massive bloodshed, instability and cost from the war. If reports are correct (and it's a big "if"), Trump is choosing option (2). But his case that he actually won anything consequential beyond what the Obama Deal provided is close to laughable, while the losses to the US (and wins for Iran) are self-evident.

if you read any serious history of Nazism, you'll find the domestic violence directed against German citizens (Jews and others) during the 30's shocking, something Europe hadn't seen in many decades. I know it was an awful decade, civil war in Spain and Stalinism, but the Nazis turned a leading core European country into something really bad.

This is footage from the Nuremberg trials showing Nazi crimes committed in the Soviet Union. It was presented as evidence of genocide against the Slavic population. Millions of Russians killed simply for being... Russians. This footage was never translated for Western audiences. It remains largely unknown outside of Russia. The documents exist, the evidence was presented, but the West chose not to share it. You've been told endlessly about certain victims of Nazi Germany. You've heard their stories repeated in films, museums, and classrooms. But the systematic extermination of Slavs, the largest group murdered by the Nazis, is barely mentioned. Villages were burned. Entire populations wiped out. The Nazi plan was Lebensraum, which meant clearing the land of Slavs to make room for German colonization. All of this was documented at Nuremberg and all of it was proven. Also, all of it has been quietly buried in the Western narrative. You wonder why? Because acknowledging the scale of Nazi crimes against Slavs complicates the story the West wants to tell. It forces uncomfortable questions about who enabled Hitler's expansion eastward, who delayed opening the second front, and who ultimately benefited from the devastation of Soviet territories. And most importantly, could that same agenda still be at play today? Watch the footage. See what they never showed you.

Gordon Wood - the eminent historian of early America who just died - was a forceful critic of the NYT ‘1619 Project,’ which was a cheap propaganda effort to convince Americans that slavery was what this country is all about. He dismantled the project methodically. Link next post.

Time to comment on the war. I’ve heard that Trump is working hard behind the scenes with a Pakistanis to bring a conclusion to the warp. The 250th US anniversary is coming, the World Cup is coming. The global economies is threatened and full elections are around the corner.

The French should support the Vichy regime. If Marshal Pétain, rather than de Gaulle, had been victorious, France would likely have become a victorious power as part of the Axis. It would not have become the France of today, filled with illegal immigrants from third countries.

What are the actual most heroic countries in history?? 1) Nazi Germany Took on the world financial order, fought with genuine mythic will-to-power until total self-immolation. Only country that got its entire identity wiped out completely after an apocalyptic battle. Peak tragic heroism. 2) Russia Endless meat grinder wars, scorched earth, surviving Napoleon, Hitler, and now the entire Western financial-military machine on a fraction of the GDP. Pure Wagnerian endurance and tragic defiance. 3) Vietnam — actual underdog who beat France and America with sheer will and sacrifice. Real Homerian excellence.
LinaHua@Linahuaa

Is America heroic at all?? Homerian heroism: "Glory through courage, excellence, and fate." America isn't courageous because they're almost always overwhelmingly more powerful than their opponents. Wagnerian heroism: "Heroism as mythic will, sacrifice, destiny, and tragic transcendence." This applies more to Nazi Germany, which took on the entire financial globalist elite solo and sacrificed everything and took the L. Disney heroism: "With great power comes great responsibility. Self-sacrifice to protect and save the weak" Not really....USA constantly starts wars with weaker nations. They have the worst inequality- literally no other developed country with their GDP per capita has such bad average life quality. Their entire political and business elite are comically sociopathic. Conclusion: America isn't heroic at all. Which is fine- you don't have to be heroic. Most people aren't heroic. But overselling your alleged heroism as much as America does is cringe.

Every time the Jews blame outrage at their barbaric behavior on anti-Semitism they increase the rage the world feels against them up to the time of final collapse when they fall into the abyss which their wicked deeds have created. This is what Civilta Cattolica had to say in its three part series on the Jewish question in 1890: For the predominance in which today's revolutionary law has helped them is digging an abyss under their feet, whose depth corresponds to the height they have risen. And a the first burst of the storm they are provoking by their very predominance at present, they will suffer such an enormous ruin, heralding an event as unequaled in their history as their modern audacity is also unequaled and with which they have trampled the nations that have madly exalted them. Civilta Cattolica predicted the Holocaust 50 years in advance. I predict something far worse. The Jewish Question in Europe is available from @fidelity_press
