@TheDapperChef Critique based based on the type of contribution they make. If the goal is to provide big ideas for others to test (e.g. Dahl), don't get bogged down in methods. If it's to causally identify a common claim, don't focus on the lack of a new/novel theory.

If you were making a "Classroom Norms and Institutions" (i.e. rules for not being a 🍆 in grad school) slide, what would you put on there? So far, I've got:
1) credit the person whose point you're engaging
2) do not dismiss an entire field, subfield, methodology, or article
