@matsonj Could also be a pure product decision and not infra related though. It's an interesting thought experiment to draw a line between "messaging" where users could reasonably expect privacy vs "broadcast media" in which they would expect publicity and so should be using a Page.

@matsonj I don't know anything about this actual decision, but my guess is that it's related to key exchange protocols. It's an (every member x every device) and then you have to cycle them whenever people join or leave, etc

when the exec team shares an update about a decision made by the data team.
