How can VIA Rail plan to do anything when their actions are at the whim of a company that focuses on and prioritizes the movement of freight over people? Canada needs viable passenger rail service and it won't get there with our current set up. #ViaRail #Canada @OmarAlghabra
The Federal Reserve is hellbent on continuing to raise interest rates to slow the economy. This is a huge mistake. It completely puts the burden of inflation on lower-wage workers and the poor. Meanwhile, corporate executives, Wall Street, and the wealthy get away scot-free.
As we reach end of construction on the Calgary Cancer Centre, Albertans are one step closer to top-of-the line cancer care services. This project has employed almost 9,000 workers in construction and the trades, and was made possible by $1.4 billion in investment. #ableg
