@RonsR8ers@AllKindsWeather Obviously, the plan was to pitch Williams inside. If you know anything about baseball/softball, that’s how you get elite power hitters out. Rothrock just didn’t execute her pitches. Tech hitters did a great job making UF pitchers pay for the HBP and BBs.
@AllKindsWeather 5 times in 3 games but your pitcher’s seems to have good control Rothrock has great control of her pitches EXCEPT against a former teammate? Sure thing. Nailing someone intentionally in the ribs gets your team a warning. Doing it so it doesn’t LOOK intentional does not.
Texas Tech fans have yet to provide a logical explanation for why Florida would hit Mia Williams on purpose.
If the intention was to cause her pain, you really think that clipping her on the knee or arm satisfies that goal? You have any idea what an intentional HBP looks like?
It’s hard heat in the ribs. In the helmet. In the middle of the back. It’s not on the edge of the batter’s box. A glancing pitch off the leg or arm doesn’t meet that criteria of “screw her, let’s cause her as much pain as possible.”
Not to mention how fired up it clearly got Williams, and the entire TTU dugout. If Keagan Rothrock did do it on purpose the first time, and then she saw how much juice it gave the Red Raiders, do you really think she’d inject them with another four doses of that juice on purpose?
And on top of all that… if the game was out of hand, MAYBE you’d still have an argument. To start the biggest game of the year by giving TTU a free baserunner just to make someone feel pain for a few seconds? Sorry, no. That’s irrational even if she DIDN’T stick her arm/leg into most of the pitches that hit her.
Congrats on the series win. You won. Move on with your lives.
@rgregglee@TreyWallace@RyanHyattMedia No doubt there was intent to pitch her inside, and possibly send a message. I’m sure Walton & the Gators players (pitchers) were not pleased with some of the comments made by MIA’s mom after last season. Congrats to Tech. Their hitters made UF pitchers pay for BBs & errors today.
@bmill2332@TreyWallace@RyanHyattMedia We can agree to disagree, it’s fine. 7 hit batters and 5 were Mia? First pitch today started inside with inside spin. That’s not the corner. 40 hit batters all season. 5 times in 3 games. It’s not a big leap
That series was a full-blown WWE
Texas Tech heads to WCWS, beating Florida
Gators plunked former player Mia Williams' numerous times, tempers were 🔥🔥
Florida doesn’t shake hands.
@gator_bates@AllKindsWeather Agree, not a good look, but assuming that handshake line would have gotten ugly. TT players were chirping all game, and words would have been said between Williams and some of the Gators’ players. Probably best for both teams, even though UF comes across as poor sports.
@rgregglee@TreyWallace@RyanHyattMedia They pitched her inside, give me a break. They didn’t throw at her head or hit her square in the back. These kids wear the huge elbow guards and set up on top of the plate. The pitcher has the right to the inside part of the plate, especially to an elite hitter in Mia Williams.
@TemuAmyMcgrath@BleedBNetwork Oh we are still counting titles in the 40’s and 50’s, when only white players were allowed to play. When Adolph Hitler, I mean Rupp was running the Kentucky program. Okay then!
@bmill2332@BleedBNetwork Awww does that post make you feel better? 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍 we could stop playing for the next 50 years and yall wouldn’t catch up. I know it’s past your bedtime lil fella. Have a nice night.
@TemuAmyMcgrath@BleedBNetwork I know it’s a hard pill to swallow, Kentucky has fallen off the Blue Blood tier. Over 5,000 days since your last championship. Gators have 3 in the last 20 years. We are supposed to be a football school, while Kentucky dominates the hardwood. Not anymore my friend!
@CoachPsteve How about Kentucky’s defense losing the game? Poor communication multiple times, giving up wide open Klavzar 3’s and easy Lee layups will poor defensive rotations by the bigs. No, but the sole reason Kentucky lost was missed foul calls by the officials. Got it!
I do not think we loss bc of fouls. The fouls were still egregious. U DO FOUL EVERY TRIP. We lost bc we turned it over, and UF converted a lot of those. We also gave up too many off rebounds. Start watching games instead of waiting for the end to talk sh*t
@TemuAmyMcgrath@BleedBNetwork Lil fella, that’s hilarious. I was watching college basketball while you were still shitting in your diapers. Take off your Wildcat Blue shades!
I'm going to move on from the officials after this clip, but this drives me crazy.
The ball is OUT OF OTEGA OWEH'S HANDS and Coach Golden is at the "Gators" logo
How does this timeout get granted?! Should be AT LEAST delay of game on Florida and probably a technical. Ridiculous
@TemuAmyMcgrath@BleedBNetwork It’s been one and done for 20+ years. Kentucky has 1 title to the Gators 3 titles in that time span. Wildcats basketball isn’t relevant anymore. Pitino and Tubby Smith ain’t walking through the doors of Rupp Arena. Time to take a back seat to the Gators dominance.
@StealthyWildcat The Gators have actually been better on the road in SEC play. Their defense and rebounding travels. I expect Golden to have his team ready to play in Rupp and for the Gators to make another statement heading into the SEC tournament.
@wildcatwoody001@Twillis5358@klw72@CoachPsteve Gators have actually been better on the road in SEC play. Defense and rebounding travel my man. These Gator Boys Stay hot and love to silence the opposing fans home crowd! Golden will be Gator Chomping Big Blue Nation in Rupp Arena in a few weeks. Get your popcorn ready!
@wildcatwoody001@klw72@CoachPsteve I counted 4 secs and then he grabs the offensive board. He can be camped out in the lane from that point. You are crying about 4secs vs 3secs. It’s like holding in football. Could be called every play if the officials wanted to. That’s just a lousy take.
@bmill2332@klw72@CoachPsteve You could have stopped with “he’s in the lane” because all the things you said don’t matter. Only time it doesn’t matter if he receives the ball. And, that’s pretty blatant
@wildcatwoody001@klw72@CoachPsteve Come on man, you are whining about that. He’s in the lane, shields his defender and allows Haugh to get a lay-up. If you go back and watch the game, I guarantee Moreno was in the lane just like Reuben. How often do you see 3secs called in any basketball game unless it’s blatant.
