@Big_BlueNation_ The kid played AAU and tons of development ball leagues for at least 10 years. He should only need fine tuning, he can’t learn toughness. He just doesn’t have it!! He’s lazy and he waits for the game to come to him. This level of ball won’t come to you. You gotta go GET it!!!

12 hours later here are my thoughts: -Oweh, CC, and DA must play 34-38 mins/gm -Run EVERYTHING through those 3 -Jasper cannot see more than 10 mins. Liability on both ends right now -BG is officially unplayable. The game shifts every single time he steps on the court. 0 minutes -Moreno, Jelly, and Mo need to be rebounding bigs while taking WIDE OPEN shots (minus MoD). Offense turns to shit when either of the 3 gets a play called for them. -Send JQ back home to prep for NBA. Pisses me off seeing him on the bench -Why not see what Hawthorne can do? It's not rocket science, Mark. This team isn't 'special' but we are playing with house money at this point. That can be fun

@KSRonX I’m not sure who is in charge of his stats or performance reports but let’s run a report on how players play when they are left in for more than 9 minutes !! This is the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard. Let them play or get new strength coaches!!

Mark Pope is concerned with how many minutes some of his guys are having to play.

@DylanBallard_UK Makes no sense. Guys can play 35 minutes in a game like this, it wasn’t that physical and if they can’t we need new training staff. Secondly, he wasn’t making adjustments , he was just making substitutions. They were not based on match ups.

Tonight after the game, I asked Mark Pope about the difference in the substitutions and rotation in the first half and second. Here is his answer.

This is a really bad loss for Kentucky. Just can’t lose games like this at home With the schedule they have ahead, it also puts the possibility of not making the Tournament back in play

@BaldBernieSndrs @KySportsRadio What about Moreno? He absolutely is awful. Aberdeen missed key free throws and Pope’s substitutions look like they are over there drawing straws to see who goes in at times. Pope has to get better at leading this program. Every second matters.

@KySportsRadio Oweh and Chandler having career nights and still coming up short at home is inexcusable. Yes we could've made more free throws, and yes Garrison and Johnson played like trash, but you really can't deny how big of a factor the refs were

I really do think all the subbing is a major problem. Kentucky will go on runs and then two or three dudes are subbed out. It’s deflating
