The FDNY held a plaque dedication ceremony for Firefighter Billy Moon at Engine 275, Ladder 133 . Whenever I see FF Moon’s family, his parents William Sr. & Patricia, his wife Kristina, and their two kids, Colin and Brianne, I see all the qualities that made him who he was.

The FDNY honored Firefighter William “Billy” Moon II with a plaque dedication at Rescue 2, where he was assigned. His wife, Kristina, his children, Colin and Brianne, his parents, William Senior and Patricia, joined many members of his extended family in attending the ceremony.

Sunday, the FDNY held a plaque dedication to honor Firefighter William “Billy” Moon, a 21-year veteran of the Department. On 12/12/22, he suffered a head injury during a training exercise at Rescue 2. His family made the decision to donate his organs to save the lives of others.

Today, the Donate Life float is part of the Rose Bowl Parade & includes 56 participants including organ, eye and tissue recipients and donors, more than 2,000 individually dedicated roses, and a group of Hopi tribe members who will perform the traditional Butterfly Dance.
