No sir, we have. Unfortunately, many of us were thrown out of our jobs and stopped being counted as part of India’s “press corps” precisely because we asked tough ques to the govt. India still has some of the finest independent journalists doing real journalism and asking difficult ques .. often at the cost of being silenced in more ways than one. More power to Helle, absolutely. But even more power to those journalists in India who have been doing this for years, under far harsher circumstances, with far more at stake.

I once encouraged a person to get divorced. And honestly… I still don’t regret saying it. He came from a very conservative family. He was deeply unhappy in his marriage. She was very dominating. There was no peace left. No emotional connection left. And during that phase, he fell in love with someone else. But the shocking part was this: He was more scared of divorce than suffering. More scared of society. More scared of “log kya kahenge.” I still remember telling him: “Abhi bhi lambi zindagi hai. You can choose suffering for your entire life… or be happy with your partner, and also set free a person with whom you cannot live peacefully.” If someone is mentally breaking… losing peace… even reaching suicidal thoughts… then how is divorce the worse option? Months later, he called me and said - ho gaya divorse 😁 v happy, thank you. Honestly… some people are not dying because divorce happened. They are dying because divorce never happened. From today, I plan to share solution of your challenge via post, without your name being highlighted. You can share specific challenge of Career, relationship, business, life and I shall be creating post without your name being revealed, if I feel this problem is common and many need guidance for it.

18 hours of emergency shift after 14 hours per day everyday of last week. I miss reading community medicine.

I was on my 18 hours of ER shift and around 4am a patient came with feeble carotid pulse and dilated pupils. He had a ton of hesitation cuts on forearm. My cointern started CPR while I ran to get channel equipments. We called the housestaff but the attempt to create a channel failed as their was no viable vein to insert it. Loaded adrenaline but there was no way to give it,bhaiya tried giving it in the central neck vein(IJ) but in vain. Pupils were dilated and fixed while the patient party broke down in tears.
