FALSE ALARM:
Apple is not complicit in 'genocide' as some people are claiming.
Many posts going viral making the below claims. These are false, Apple did NOT remove the names of Lebanese villages. They were never there in the first place, which is why people in South Lebanon use Google Maps instead
I'm one of the most vocal people against what Israel is doing in South Lebanon, especially the Defence Minister's horrific recent statements, but let's be careful not to believe misinformation that supports our confirmation bias.
Let's stick to facts, there's more than enough already to be worried about

President Trump has threatened to impose a US blockade on Iranian ports, starting in just a few hours time.
The decision drove oil prices rising above $100 a barrel again, while all shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz is said to have stopped after Trump's announcement.
Sir Keir Starmer said the UK would not support the blockade, declaring that it was vital to get the Strait "fully open".

Israel has approved the appointment of Roman Gofman as the new head of the Mossad intelligence agency, according to a statement released on Sunday by the Israeli prime minister’s office.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu first announced plans to nominate Gofman in December 2025, and a senior appointments committee gave its approval on Sunday. Gofman is set to assume the role in June 2026, succeeding the current director, David Barnea.
Gofman, 49, is a military general who currently serves as Netanyahu's military secretary.

A senior Met Police officer told him that he would NOT be arrested because of the wording on his sign...
But shortly after an Essex Police officer arrested him for holding the same sign.
He was part of 500+ protesters who were arrested at Defend Our Juries demo in London on Saturday.
Whatever one’s views for or against Palestine Action’s cause, it would be Orwellian in the extreme to treat peaceful protestors as terrorists.
