@boahsdeckbox Gardevoir could create an energy advantage so that you had multiple attackers or lines ready to go. Pult has a more honest attachment strategy making it feel more beatable

Dragapult is definitely S tier The partner is more or less occupying the tech slots. The core is still the same among variants

@anshkansara Anything for the clicks 👆🏻 nah but on a real note the competitiveness and level Garde was at for essentially its entire existence vs pult is unmatched (at least currently), like going into this tourney I was convinced festival lead, pult, alakazam were all in the same tier

@boahsdeckbox @MilaVtuber I don't think Alakazam is beating a deck with 4 Mist Energy and multiple Rocky Fighting Energy as well.

There may not be a definitive “S” tier deck but I can say with confidence that this format allows players to be more creative with their deckbuilding and lets players play unconventional decks because they aren’t held back by one archetype (Gardevoir)

Orlando.. the regional of "almosts". I almost: -Went undefeated phase 1 -Made my first asym -Made top 32 -Broke the 10-3-1 curse (my record for all 4 regionals I've done this season..) -Had a legendary best finish -> worst finish -> new best finish comeback story I did, however, get to spend time with friends, play great Pokemon, and meet a lot of awesome people - including some fans of the YouTube channel (shoutout Ethan and Chris)! I was super happy with how I played most rounds, so it was especially heartbreaking to realize I lost game 3 of the win-and-in due to a misplay. Huge thanks to @carsonwasher_ for calling it out afterwards and for the great series overall. Shows that I still have a lot of work to do before I can consider myself at the level of the greats. Speaking of which, I'm proud to have taken down some players I really look up to (including handing Cerys her only two losses in the first 11 rounds). I'm happy to prove to myself that I can play at that level even if I still make mistakes. I have no idea what I'm going to play post rotation, but I'm sure I'll end up back on Pult before long. Indianapolis is next, and I still want that Play! Pokémon shirt.
